I was planning to purchase a scooter for my daughter so thoroughly checked each and every scooter available in market. My bike and my scooty are from tvs. I also have a very old bajaj chethak scooter. What all things i considered before my purchase was as follows. It must be a powerful scooter. This is because i am also going to use it. My daughter is going to use to more than me, so she told me it must little stylish. Better mileage and strong body. Head light must very powerful and it must not fitted along with the body (ie it must be fitted to handle itself so that when handle turns light must turn with the handle. Smooth self start and kick start. Colour must be visible to other fellow riders/ drivers even in dim light. Costs must be minimum and must have more facility. Must from a reputed company.I used tvs scooter and bike for more than 15 years. My bike now covered around 339000(three lakh thirty nine thousand km). I have no problem with tvs products and their service till now. Parts are available plenty. But when i realized that they increased the price of jupitar and wego i dropped the plan. Then i concentrated on activa, fascino and hero pleasure. Next comes pleasure , duet and maestro edge from hero.I went to their showroom in kakkandu, kochi kerala(palal hero moto corp). I was asking the details of pleasure and duet. Then a sales person came to me and said 'sir, we have a new maestro model zxi, please have a look'. I liked appearance very much. I told the sales person that i must think about it and will come back in two days time. Meanwhile i checked the complaints regarding maestro. So many people are complaining about its starting problem and mileage. After studying all these things for 2 weeks i decide to go for maestro edge zxi. With this price and power the facilities maestro is giving is excellent. So i took my daughter to the showroom and asked her opinion.I first asked her to take the scooter from central stand. She did it easily. I asked her to put the scooter in central stand. She did this also with ease. I asked her to kick start the scooter. She did. From the above experiment i came to a conclusion that she has no problem in handling the scooter. Buying experience. Palal hero moto corp, kakkandu, kochi. I paid full amount on one Wednesday and asked the showroom people to make it ready for Thursday 5:00pm. On Thursday i went to showroom at around 4:30pm. Sales person were gentle and polite. Papers were ready. He explained everything to me once again and handed over the key to me. They know i got to drive around 100km that day to reach home. So they attended everything with care. To me their service was ok.I started around 5:15pm way back to my home. On my way home i topped up the tank . Reset the trip meter to zero. I kept the speed between 35 and 50 km/hr. I stopped one time for a tea break. Maestro ran smoothly without any problem. When i reached my home town again i filled upto the neck of the tank. Then checked the mileage and i was surprised and shocked to see the mileage of this scooter at the first ride.It was more than what company was claiming. Details of how to check the mileage is given in the last paragraph. Then i checked the scooter mileage by riding in different speeds. Then i noticed many things which i want to share with you.1. You must check the tyre pressure frequently. Maestro will give you a low mileage on low tyre pressure.2. When you start your maestro in the morning, please do not use self start instead you must kick start your maestro.3. If you have not used your scooter for more than a day, then you may have to give 2-5 kicks and if your scooter refused to start, then pull the choke. After engine runs you must push back(off) the choke immediately. It all depend upon the climatic condition also.4. When you self start maestro, never ever throttle your scooter. Ie. Do no use accelerator when you self start your scooter.5 maestros big problem is its mileage variation. So if you can maintain a maximum speed upto 50km/hr, this scooter will give you a amazing mileage. But if you drive below thirty (30 km/hr). It will give you only 30-38km/hr. You wont get any mileage if you cross 60km/hr. This scooter is purly not intended for racing.Avoid sudden acceleration and sudden breaking. These two will also reduce the mileage. Avoid these two and make it a driving habit.6. To check the correct mileage you need to do following things 1. First fill the tank fully. This can be done by asking petrol station staff to put the nossle into the tank upto the block company fixed inside the tank( there is a cross bar). Then lock the petrol nozzle liver. When petrol hits the tip of the nozzle it will automatically cut the flow. Yes, that is upto you must fill the petrol. Never ever sit on the scooter and look around while fueling the tank. The petrol station staff will make you a fool by adjusting the meter. You will not notice this. So always keep a watch on the meter. Always starting from zero. Then reset the trip meter to zero or write down the meter reading. Then take good ride, say a 50km. Come back and do the filling like before(ask the staff to fill petrol in auto cut off mode). The difference will give you the exact mileage. Eg: suppose if your initial reading was zero (re-set to zero). Final reading was 55km. You refilled the petrol and when auto-cut happens suppose if the meter shows 1 liter then your mileage is 55km/l. If the meter shows 1.5 litters then your mileage was 36.6 that is 55/1.5.Never run your scooter with less petrol. Petrol will evaporate more quickly.Stars i am going to give for this scooter along with other things are as follows. 1. Buying experience 4 stars. They made mistake in the address. But corrected it.2. Riding experience . 4 stars. Not good for very long ride.3. Details about looks, performance etc. 5 stars. Excellent look and performance.4. Servicing and maintenance 4 stars. First service is just over.Pros.1. Good looking, stylish, strong scooter. Excellent for short trips. For long trips over 100km(single stretch) not so comfortable. Mileage good( but have to obey certain rules strictly(speed limit 35-50)). Never faced any starting problem till date.Cons.Seat is so wide. Female passengers/ riders have little problem over come this.Heavy for a female rider. After the court order drl(day time running light) have to be in on position when engine starts. This means head light, meter light, digital meter light , some times headlight high beam indicator, tail light are always unnecessary on always. That is around 4 to 5 lights are always on. Why? i do not know. Scooter company is making profit out this. They did not reduce the price of headlight switch(some 750rs for original). Headlight is pushing the heat to surrounding there by increasing the city temperature. Headlight life is reducing every day. Reflector is loosing its shining material coating. This is good for european country's not for India. The logic is. If one cannot see a bike coming in broad daylight then how can he see a head light in the broad day light. So many head lights are confusing and glare is also so high. Finally i read about so many complaints about servicing. Be careful the original villains are service people. After the first service(500km). You have to do this to all vehicle you owned. Check the engine oil. Go to a private repair center and ask the person to check the engine oil. He will tell you the truth. In most cases these service people will never change the engine oil. They will simple charge you the price for the oil they had not changed. Same is the case with gear oil. Change the engine oil yourself if you found service people had not changed it. Change engine oil at 500 km, 1000, 1500, 2500, 3000, then every 3000km. Change gear oil at 500k, 1500, then every 3500km.

I bought this bike as a used one for Sri Lankan rupees 320,000 LKR, changed the oil only once, and talking about the looks it is awesome, to be honest, and then when it comes to performance with this 110cc powerful engine, it's very fast and it goes 0-60 within 5.5 sec or less than that and the pick up is very good and that turbo kinda sound and with that you do get a boosted sound as well ( not modified anything), mileage is 35 -40, stability is really good compared to other bikes it's very stable even at 100kmph speed and it even goes more than that as well, breaking is really good, idle power is also good, balancing of the bike is good, battery and all no issues, cabby capacity is also good, Overall one of the best bikes to own.

Bought this scooter in 2016 (Hero Maestro edge) when its initial launch paid 66,000/- on the road. From day 1 I started to feel that it had a lot of complaints of vibration a lot, taking time to start the scooter, milage drop, fuse issue etc. I made all of the services in the showroom even the oil change wash or any kind of problem but no use. it cost me more maintenance than purchasing the vehicle. even every garage owner will say that it is complain vehicle. nobody wants to buy from me. after tiered this I purchased another vehicle from the Honda brand.
if you are on a scooter don't buy this model. Only the body looks stylish.

Value for money as it is one of the lowest budget scooters. But it doesn't offer comfort, you may see a lot of discomfort while riding and mainly while driving on long routes. The seats and shock absorbers are not up to the mark. Mileage wise it'll offer one of the best scooters in this segment. The only thing you may miss is comfort.

    1. The buying experience was good.
    2. Riding experience is good for singles, but not for doubles. This scooter doesn't have a proper pickup.
    3. Looks are good, performance is not up to the mark and the pickup is too low.
    4. Servicing and maintenance was good.
    5. Pros and Cons, Pros - this bike has good looks and good mileage. Cons - bad pickup, low performance, not even preferable, once we get the problem of the petrol cap it never gets rectified.

Worst product from Hero, with more maintenance and cheap build quality don’t go for this blady cheap quality. The mileage it’s gives only 30kph sometimes less than that also, the service from the hero showroom is also very poor, if we are riding speed more than 50 then your mileage will fall down to below 25, don’t go for this.

  • Disappointed Maestro Edge 110 Owner - A Comprehensive Review

    Naman

I purchased the Hero Maestro Edge 110 back in 2016, and I must say, my experience with this scooter has been nothing short of disappointing. From the buying process to the overall ownership, there are several areas where the Maestro Edge 110 falls short of my expectations.
**Buying Experience:** The buying experience was relatively hassle-free, with a friendly and knowledgeable salesperson guiding me through the process. However, it was only after the purchase that I realized that I may have made a grave mistake.
**Riding Experience:** The riding experience on the Maestro Edge 110 has been a mixed bag. On the positive side, it's a comfortable scooter with a smooth ride, thanks to the telescopic front suspension. However, the performance leaves much to be desired. The scooter struggles to pick up speed, especially when there's a pillion rider. It feels underpowered, and overtaking on highways is a nerve-wracking experience.
    **Pros:**
    1. Comfortable ride: The Maestro Edge 110 offers a comfortable and smooth ride.
    2. Telescopic front suspension: The front suspension is a pro as it enhances the scooter's stability.
    **Cons:**
    1. Underpowered: The scooter lacks the power needed for confident city and highway riding.
    2. Poor fuel efficiency: The fuel economy is far from what was promised at the time of purchase.
    3. High maintenance costs: Regular servicing and maintenance come at a steep price.
    4. Unreliable service centers: Finding a trustworthy Hero service center has been a challenge, and the quality of service often leaves much to be desired.
**Servicing and Maintenance:** The scooter's servicing and maintenance have been a constant source of frustration. Not only is it expensive, but I've had issues with parts availability, and the quality of service is inconsistent at best.
**Looks and Performance:** In terms of looks, the Maestro Edge 110 scores well with its stylish design and a variety of color options. However, these aesthetic features fail to compensate for its lackluster performance.
In summary, my experience as a Hero Maestro Edge 110 owner has been deeply unsatisfying. The scooter may have some pros, like comfort and design, but the cons far outweigh these positives, with issues related to power, fuel efficiency, maintenance, and servicing. I would caution potential buyers to explore other options in the market before settling for the Maestro Edge 110. It's a case of style over substance, and it falls short of delivering the quality and performance expected from a reputable brand like Hero.

For the last 3 years, I am using this hero maestro edge 110 BS iV version. suspension and ride quality are very good but fiber quality is very bad. also, you will not get proper service even from an authorized dealers workshop as no one know how to repair it as the sensors used in always given me trouble. always had a problem with the lock and needed to replace it. within 2 months of my purchase, it automatically stops when the engine get hot after riding 15 or 20 km itself that problem was solved by an outsider technician long after 2 years. very heavy. milage is ok as I always use it on highway road daily.

Very bad experience with Maestro. I am facing new and new problems every day. Mileage is also very low. When we accelerate bike will shake had very badly. On hilly roads it can't take two persons. Pickup is good but pulling power is bad. Please don't go for Maestro . Service cost is normal but parts are too expensive.

  • Electric or petrol which is better

    Ameen

Hero maestro edge 110cc scooter is cost-effective but due to the increase in petrol price this was a huge burden on the monthly budget, mileage is poor approx 35-38km after full service(daily approx 80km running needed) in the brochure it was 65 km/ltr I think. Also, the service cost is huge if you buy new one electric is preferable coz costs are approx the same.
