Got mileage of | 40 kmpl |
I purchased my hero maestro edge in april' 2018. So now after riding it for nearly 5 months n close to 4000kms, i'm more than happy to share its detailed review. If u r in a hurry then just read the last lines of each point to get a perspective of rating of the bike based on my 6 months xp.1. Buying experience:The price of this scooter was nearly rs.63,000 {april 2018 price within months of this variants launch}in my area, which is the least as compared to every bs-iv scooter in this sector. Secondly, i was super lucky that the seller who was sehgal autoriders, telco road, pune himself gave me a suggestion to book the bike as it would provide me with some additional discount. To my amazement, i got an additional rs.2500 discount when booked n i got the product delivery on my desired date. I had inquired about every scooter prior to my purchase n none of the others even had a percent's discount n moreover had price 4k to 10k higher to maestro. So regarding offers n cost of bike : 5/5.2. Riding experience:The seat size in maestro is the largest in this sector. So even i'm riding pillion, a college bag can be easily accommodated in between the riders with comfort. To give u a perspective the length of maestro is 1841 mm whereas of activa 4g is 1761mm. So this offers too comfortable riding experience. Another most important n shocking thing which i came to know before getting the bike was even when activa has a whole metal body n maestro has fibre body; the weight of maestro is greater than activa. Activa kerb weight: 108kg. Maestro kerb weight: 110kg. U might think, as did i, that whats the use of the excess weight. This weight comes too handy when you ride on a highway when all big vehicles cross or pass by you. I have driven a yamaha gladiator before N even while riding it, if a heavy truck crosses or passes by you at high speed, u feel the vibrations n the bike shakes. But in the past 6 months i haven't once witnessed the same on this bike even when riding at 80km/h. That explains everything. So riding experience: 5/5.3. Looks: I own the graphics version of maestro edge, so in terms of looks i don't really have any complaints n m super happy. But yes...There are some pretty good competitors in this department to maestro n some are even more awesome looking than maestro such as honda grazia and honda dio. But again their price is significantly higher to maestro. But maestro sincerely lacks in this department as it has just 2 graphics variants, whereas Others compared here have wide vairiety of colours in their graphics range. So looks: 3/5.4. Performance:Coming to the super duper prime point- performance.Yeah... As mentioned in many reviews here...This bike did offer a mere mileage of 28 to 30 to me too in the initial months n suspecting a fault i did approach me dealer but they informed me that an engine takes some time to give its top performance, n to get this asap u need to maintain ur bike in good condition with apt servicing. So i followed it with whole-heartedly n now after just 2 servicing i get a regular nearly constant average of 40kmpl. I don't know whether it would increase or not but it has fulfilled my expectations the least as i wasn't expecting a mileage like bajaj discover from a scooter. One more imp thing- twice till date, after my re-fuelling, i had decided to drive the bike only in the economy zone n i was pretty successful in doing so. In both those cycles my bike gave me a mileage of 45kmpl. But this just happened twice as resisting to not throttle above 50kmph is hell of a job which i was not at all ca[able of. Performance: 5/5.5. Servicing and maintenance:One word: zero. I didn't face any significant issues whatsoever from the date of my purchase. That doesn't mean i didn't have issues. I did- but they were petty. I strongly believe in a quote that "take care of your ride and it'll take care of you." so in terms of maintaining the bike i have been apt till date. May be that's the reason why i didn't have any significant problem. So servicing and maintenance- 4/5.6. Accessories/ pros: None...I repeat no other bike in this category provides such a heck load of accessories in such a budget.1.Digital display in conjunction with analog speedometer.2. Alloy wheels. (not available to any other scooter at this price)3. Boot space of 22 litres (highest in this sector)( can easily store a full face helmet in it)4. Unique anti theft key lock system. (impossible to rewire or use a duplicate key to start the bike as the ignition key is micro-chipped) 5. Telescopic front forks: first in india to provide front forks.6. Bigger front wheel: gain one of its kind as it provide with greater manoeuvrability. 7.Fibre body: yeah.....U read it right.....This is in fact a super plus point as if by chance u bump ur bike or meet with an accident u can simply approach your dealer n get just the damaged fiber part replaced(confirmed at the seller) which directly, doesn't dent our wallet. This is not the case in terms of metal body bike as mostly the metal body dents permanently on impact. Think on it...8. Tubeless tyres. 9. Boot lamp.10. Boot charging port.11. Service reminder indicator.12. External fuel filling port. And many other standard n conventional features. So in terms of accessories: 5/58. Cons:Nothing is perfect n so even this bike has its minute share of cons.1. Starter: at times the starter may fail to start the bike even when the bike is in use or as at a traffic signal. (experienced this 2 to 3 times till date) {btw this issue is nearly common to all push start bikes}2. Headlight: personally i felt that the headlights are not that powerful.3. Mileage- at a said mileage of 65kmpl i was expecting it to reach atleast upto 50kmpl which hasn't yet happened. Never loose hope btw. 4. An advantage for one can be a disadvantage for the other- weight:The significantly higher weight makes it a bit hard for girls/ladies to ride it with ease. That's all what i experienced with this bike.So to conclude i would say its worth twice for every penny u invest into it as it offers a wide variety of benefits n has the safety n trust of hero brand stamped to it. So that's my personal maestro encyclopedia for all of u. Hope it helps...!!!

I bought this bike as a used one for Sri Lankan rupees 320,000 LKR, changed the oil only once, and talking about the looks it is awesome, to be honest, and then when it comes to performance with this 110cc powerful engine, it's very fast and it goes 0-60 within 5.5 sec or less than that and the pick up is very good and that turbo kinda sound and with that you do get a boosted sound as well ( not modified anything), mileage is 35 -40, stability is really good compared to other bikes it's very stable even at 100kmph speed and it even goes more than that as well, breaking is really good, idle power is also good, balancing of the bike is good, battery and all no issues, cabby capacity is also good, Overall one of the best bikes to own.

Bought this scooter in 2016 (Hero Maestro edge) when its initial launch paid 66,000/- on the road. From day 1 I started to feel that it had a lot of complaints of vibration a lot, taking time to start the scooter, milage drop, fuse issue etc. I made all of the services in the showroom even the oil change wash or any kind of problem but no use. it cost me more maintenance than purchasing the vehicle. even every garage owner will say that it is complain vehicle. nobody wants to buy from me. after tiered this I purchased another vehicle from the Honda brand.if you are on a scooter don't buy this model. Only the body looks stylish.

Value for money as it is one of the lowest budget scooters. But it doesn't offer comfort, you may see a lot of discomfort while riding and mainly while driving on long routes. The seats and shock absorbers are not up to the mark. Mileage wise it'll offer one of the best scooters in this segment. The only thing you may miss is comfort.

1. The buying experience was good.2. Riding experience is good for singles, but not for doubles. This scooter doesn't have a proper pickup.3. Looks are good, performance is not up to the mark and the pickup is too low.4. Servicing and maintenance was good.5. Pros and Cons, Pros - this bike has good looks and good mileage. Cons - bad pickup, low performance, not even preferable, once we get the problem of the petrol cap it never gets rectified.

Worst product from Hero, with more maintenance and cheap build quality don’t go for this blady cheap quality. The mileage it’s gives only 30kph sometimes less than that also, the service from the hero showroom is also very poor, if we are riding speed more than 50 then your mileage will fall down to below 25, don’t go for this.

Disappointed Maestro Edge 110 Owner - A Comprehensive Review
1 year ago
Naman
I purchased the Hero Maestro Edge 110 back in 2016, and I must say, my experience with this scooter has been nothing short of disappointing. From the buying process to the overall ownership, there are several areas where the Maestro Edge 110 falls short of my expectations.**Buying Experience:** The buying experience was relatively hassle-free, with a friendly and knowledgeable salesperson guiding me through the process. However, it was only after the purchase that I realized that I may have made a grave mistake.**Riding Experience:** The riding experience on the Maestro Edge 110 has been a mixed bag. On the positive side, it's a comfortable scooter with a smooth ride, thanks to the telescopic front suspension. However, the performance leaves much to be desired. The scooter struggles to pick up speed, especially when there's a pillion rider. It feels underpowered, and overtaking on highways is a nerve-wracking experience.**Pros:**1. Comfortable ride: The Maestro Edge 110 offers a comfortable and smooth ride.2. Telescopic front suspension: The front suspension is a pro as it enhances the scooter's stability.**Cons:**1. Underpowered: The scooter lacks the power needed for confident city and highway riding.2. Poor fuel efficiency: The fuel economy is far from what was promised at the time of purchase.3. High maintenance costs: Regular servicing and maintenance come at a steep price.4. Unreliable service centers: Finding a trustworthy Hero service center has been a challenge, and the quality of service often leaves much to be desired.**Servicing and Maintenance:** The scooter's servicing and maintenance have been a constant source of frustration. Not only is it expensive, but I've had issues with parts availability, and the quality of service is inconsistent at best.**Looks and Performance:** In terms of looks, the Maestro Edge 110 scores well with its stylish design and a variety of color options. However, these aesthetic features fail to compensate for its lackluster performance. In summary, my experience as a Hero Maestro Edge 110 owner has been deeply unsatisfying. The scooter may have some pros, like comfort and design, but the cons far outweigh these positives, with issues related to power, fuel efficiency, maintenance, and servicing. I would caution potential buyers to explore other options in the market before settling for the Maestro Edge 110. It's a case of style over substance, and it falls short of delivering the quality and performance expected from a reputable brand like Hero.

For the last 3 years, I am using this hero maestro edge 110 BS iV version. suspension and ride quality are very good but fiber quality is very bad. also, you will not get proper service even from an authorized dealers workshop as no one know how to repair it as the sensors used in always given me trouble. always had a problem with the lock and needed to replace it. within 2 months of my purchase, it automatically stops when the engine get hot after riding 15 or 20 km itself that problem was solved by an outsider technician long after 2 years. very heavy. milage is ok as I always use it on highway road daily.

Electric or petrol which is better

Hero maestro edge 110cc scooter is cost-effective but due to the increase in petrol price this was a huge burden on the monthly budget, mileage is poor approx 35-38km after full service(daily approx 80km running needed) in the brochure it was 65 km/ltr I think. Also, the service cost is huge if you buy new one electric is preferable coz costs are approx the same.

Very bad experience with Maestro. I am facing new and new problems every day. Mileage is also very low. When we accelerate bike will shake had very badly. On hilly roads it can't take two persons. Pickup is good but pulling power is bad. Please don't go for Maestro . Service cost is normal but parts are too expensive.

A hero maestro edge 110cc user from Sri Lanka

Cheap quality

Worst product from Hero, with more maintenance and cheap build quality don’t go for this blady cheap quality. The mileage it’s gives only 30kph sometimes less than that also, the service from the hero showroom is also very poor, if we are riding speed more than 50 then your mileage will fall down to below 25, don’t go for this.
