    Harsh

Good choice in starting but after it did it gives good average or claim average by company. I am driving since a long time but now I feel like I am just taking this normally. Always have to pay for petrol in every 100 km. That is very bad now days petrol price is very high too. So I don’t know about new one I am just telling about old one.

  • 10x bang for your buck- simply incredible.

    Akhil Nair

I purchased my hero maestro edge in april' 2018. So now after riding it for nearly 5 months n close to 4000kms, i'm more than happy to share its detailed review. If u r in a hurry then just read the last lines of each point to get a perspective of rating of the bike based on my 6 months xp.
    1. Buying experience:The price of this scooter was nearly rs.63,000 {april 2018 price within months of this variants launch}in my area, which is the least as compared to every bs-iv scooter in this sector. Secondly, i was super lucky that the seller who was sehgal autoriders, telco road, pune himself gave me a suggestion to book the bike as it would provide me with some additional discount. To my amazement, i got an additional rs.2500 discount when booked n i got the product delivery on my desired date. I had inquired about every scooter prior to my purchase n none of the others even had a percent's discount n moreover had price 4k to 10k higher to maestro. So regarding offers n cost of bike : 5/5.
    2. Riding experience:The seat size in maestro is the largest in this sector. So even i'm riding pillion, a college bag can be easily accommodated in between the riders with comfort. To give u a perspective the length of maestro is 1841 mm whereas of activa 4g is 1761mm. So this offers too comfortable riding experience. Another most important n shocking thing which i came to know before getting the bike was even when activa has a whole metal body n maestro has fibre body; the weight of maestro is greater than activa. Activa kerb weight: 108kg. Maestro kerb weight: 110kg. U might think, as did i, that whats the use of the excess weight. This weight comes too handy when you ride on a highway when all big vehicles cross or pass by you. I have driven a yamaha gladiator before N even while riding it, if a heavy truck crosses or passes by you at high speed, u feel the vibrations n the bike shakes. But in the past 6 months i haven't once witnessed the same on this bike even when riding at 80km/h. That explains everything. So riding experience: 5/5.
    3. Looks: I own the graphics version of maestro edge, so in terms of looks i don't really have any complaints n m super happy. But yes...There are some pretty good competitors in this department to maestro n some are even more awesome looking than maestro such as honda grazia and honda dio. But again their price is significantly higher to maestro. But maestro sincerely lacks in this department as it has just 2 graphics variants, whereas Others compared here have wide vairiety of colours in their graphics range. So looks: 3/5.
    4. Performance:Coming to the super duper prime point- performance.Yeah... As mentioned in many reviews here...This bike did offer a mere mileage of 28 to 30 to me too in the initial months n suspecting a fault i did approach me dealer but they informed me that an engine takes some time to give its top performance, n to get this asap u need to maintain ur bike in good condition with apt servicing. So i followed it with whole-heartedly n now after just 2 servicing i get a regular nearly constant average of 40kmpl. I don't know whether it would increase or not but it has fulfilled my expectations the least as i wasn't expecting a mileage like bajaj discover from a scooter. One more imp thing- twice till date, after my re-fuelling, i had decided to drive the bike only in the economy zone n i was pretty successful in doing so. In both those cycles my bike gave me a mileage of 45kmpl. But this just happened twice as resisting to not throttle above 50kmph is hell of a job which i was not at all ca[able of. Performance: 5/5.
    5. Servicing and maintenance:One word: zero. I didn't face any significant issues whatsoever from the date of my purchase. That doesn't mean i didn't have issues. I did- but they were petty. I strongly believe in a quote that "take care of your ride and it'll take care of you." so in terms of maintaining the bike i have been apt till date. May be that's the reason why i didn't have any significant problem. So servicing and maintenance- 4/5.
    6. Accessories/ pros: None...I repeat no other bike in this category provides such a heck load of accessories in such a budget.
1.Digital display in conjunction with analog speedometer.
    2. Alloy wheels. (not available to any other scooter at this price)
    3. Boot space of 22 litres (highest in this sector)( can easily store a full face helmet in it)
    4. Unique anti theft key lock system. (impossible to rewire or use a duplicate key to start the bike as the ignition key is micro-chipped)
    5. Telescopic front forks: first in india to provide front forks.
    6. Bigger front wheel: gain one of its kind as it provide with greater manoeuvrability.
7.Fibre body: yeah.....U read it right.....This is in fact a super plus point as if by chance u bump ur bike or meet with an accident u can simply approach your dealer n get just the damaged fiber part replaced(confirmed at the seller) which directly, doesn't dent our wallet. This is not the case in terms of metal body bike as mostly the metal body dents permanently on impact. Think on it...
    8. Tubeless tyres.
    9. Boot lamp.
    10. Boot charging port.
    11. Service reminder indicator.
    12. External fuel filling port. And many other standard n conventional features. So in terms of accessories: 5/5
    8. Cons:Nothing is perfect n so even this bike has its minute share of cons.
    1. Starter: at times the starter may fail to start the bike even when the bike is in use or as at a traffic signal. (experienced this 2 to 3 times till date) {btw this issue is nearly common to all push start bikes}
    2. Headlight: personally i felt that the headlights are not that powerful.
    3. Mileage- at a said mileage of 65kmpl i was expecting it to reach atleast upto 50kmpl which hasn't yet happened. Never loose hope btw.
    4. An advantage for one can be a disadvantage for the other- weight:The significantly higher weight makes it a bit hard for girls/ladies to ride it with ease.
That's all what i experienced with this bike.
So to conclude i would say its worth twice for every penny u invest into it as it offers a wide variety of benefits n has the safety n trust of hero brand stamped to it. So that's my personal maestro encyclopedia for all of u. Hope it helps...!!!

Bought my maestro 110 in 2015. Its mat black & no doubt one of the sexiest looking scooty, cause the look’s great on both male & female riders. Riding experience during the first year was very smooth, not too high pick up which girls are uncomfortable with & not slow pick up which we boys don't like, its kinda like a scooty which anyone can buy without thinking about gender specific features. Overall good performance, even after 5 years it still gives an average mileage of 33kms/ltr which pretty descent. Servicing cost is normal average, although many a times you have to spend some extra bucks to get your front parts tighter & get it to function smooth without making clicking noise cause the front body parts & inner parts frequently gets loose & start making noise while riding because this scooty doesn't have power suspension so it it incurs more damage than what new scooty model does cause they all have power suspensions now. Pros :1. Bold classy look ( better than most scooty, one of my friend wanted to buy 110 because it looks much better than any other scooty.2. Comfortable seating while riding.3. Average pick up4. Better mileage 5. Big seating space as compared to other scooties6. More leg room as compared to other scootiesCons:1. No power suspension ( most imp con considering the fact indian roads are full of pot holes, uneven roads & cracks ) bumpy rides gets very uncomfortable.2. Fibre body. One crack on your body & you’ll have to replace it. In case of metal body u can just get it mended. 3. Slightly heavy scooty, unlike the new scooties of 2020s you will feel the weight of the person sitting behind you while riding. The new scooties which are so well made that you won’t feel the weight of person while riding.

It's been 1 & half years since i have purchased these scooty at the first year of purchase it was cool but after that every week i had to go for servicing .And every time i go for servicing the dealer guy used to tell me or show me a new arising problem .It's been trice i have made the engine and every times they tell me to ride under 40 kmph and change the oil in within 500 km and i have even done that but the same thing arises. The engine oil gets over with a week ,i don't understand is these scooty taking petrol or engine oil. I have done many mistakes but never regretted but after i purchased these scooty i regret every day. If u guys can't make proper vehicle than don't sell them saying lot of pros whereas it only has cons... Really disappointed.

Benefit of scooter you get a lot of luggage space. It is giving mileage of about 40. Look wise it is charm to your eyes. Company provided me free services. And till now i don't come across with any other issue. Pros. - ease in drive, smooth, comfortable, lot of luggage space. Cons. Mileage is the main issue. Same problem with all other scooters.

Firstly it was good i enjoyed riding this bike but later i come to know that its mileage is worst it was only giving 20-30 km per litre then it started having more issues like suddenly the self stopped working and then one day i was coming home and the accelerator stopped working, i was worried what to do if the toolkit they provided cannot open even a screw for god sake i managed to repair my bike again one when i was coming back from hero service center increasing the mileage on the way accelerator once again went down. Don't buy this. It looks good but its only exterior

  • Maestro edge - a decent choice

    Ujjwal

I have purchased hero maestro scooter which is very good at mileage. I get 55 km per litre in the city and approx 62 km per litre when i go for a long distance. I have checked the mileage 4 to 5 times and the results were almost same(+/-) 2 to 3 km. So i can say that it saves my pocket. Telescopic, and hydraulic shock absorber used for front suspension and a unit swing with spring loaded hydraulic damper for rear suspension gives me a very comfort driving. One can not feel tired even he ride for 60 to 70 km continuously. Seating is also very comfortable. As it is a product of hero motocorp ltd. Which is famous for using good quality of parts which makes the product very reliable, moreover the company is giving guarantee and warranty both to the customer for the vehicle. Proper type and size in good condition with adequate tread and correctly inflated tyres are used to have better road grip. Tubeless tyres are used in the scooter. This scooter is designed very good so that it looks very stylish. Available in almost all vibrant colours which appeals the customer to get attracted very fist time. All the models are eye catching.

  • The best scooty in a low budget

    Swastik Bhattacharya

If you are searching for a mid-budget scooty, maestro edge is your choice. It's classy design and body is eye catching so is its performance. With a stunning mileage of 52km/l it has been one of the best performers when it comes to long term use and handling. The combined braking system actually is a boon as it helps to reduce the speed smoothly. The odometer and speedometer along with the fuel needles are all digital hence provide a classy look. The handling is very steady and efficient for people of all age groups. You may use toggle between the fog lights or the headlights. When traversing a longer distance between cities, you may prefer it because of its extra comfort be its seat or handling or mileage. The maintenance of this scooty is next to negligible so go for it and enjoy your ride and i bet you won't ever regret your choice.

  • Hero maestro edge -5 years and more to come

    Shikhar Agarwal

The buying experience was really unexpected and i mean it in a great sense.Being aware of the fact that it is a product of the brand that is the largest 2 wheeler seller in India, i had doubts whether they would help me with the paper process stuff and all. They did not only help me with that but also were very supportive during the test drive. The riding experience of the scooter is amazing and feels sturdy while riding which is good because it can be easily driven at 80-90 kmph without feeling shaky or not so confident .It handles the poor roads well too although with a pillion one might feel some difference on those roads and tend to drive with speed in check. The leg space for the rider is superb too and offers plenty of space to keep a bag or two of rice or flour (almost 30-40 kgs). Talking about its look it bought with a fresh breath of air in the segment as i was bored seeing the same old activa. This was hero's first gear-less scooter after splitting from honda and also a reason why i was hesitant to go for it.But the looks and ride quality were just too good to ignore. It was also the first to have digital odometer which gave a feel good factor. The servicing of the scooter is really cheap around 250 inr per service excluding change of parts or oil.And the parts too don't require to be changed frequently if taken proper care of.Pros:-1)good customer service.2)fibre body.3) digital odometer.4) stylish looks.5)great leg space for rider.6)low maintenance cost (only around ?1000 for service per year excluding the change of parts, oil etc.).Cons:-1)the only and foremost disadvantage is the poor pickup and mileage of 35 kmpl in city which i feel could have been better which is what hero is known for.

  • Maestro edge - a decent choice

    1. Starter: at times the starter may fail to start the bike even when the bike is in use or as at a traffic signal. (experienced this 2 to 3 times till date) {btw this issue is nearly common to all push start bikes}

    1. Starter: at times the starter may fail to start the bike even when the bike is in use or as at a traffic signal. (experienced this 2 to 3 times till date) {btw this issue is nearly common to all push start bikes}

  • Not so good not so bad either.

    Pusan Lathia
