Honda CB350 Summary

Price: Honda CB350 price for its variant - CB350 DLX starts at Rs. 2,14,781. The price for the other variant - CB350 DLX Pro is Rs. 2,17,802. The mentioned CB350 prices are the average ex-showroom.

Honda CB350 is a cruiser bike available in 2 variants and 5 colours. The Honda CB350 is powered by 348.66cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 20.7 bhp and a torque of 29.4 Nm. With both front and rear disc brakes, Honda CB350 comes up with anti-locking braking system. This CB350 bike weighs 187 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 15.2 liters.

The Honda CB350 is based on the existing 350cc platform that has the H’ness CB350 and the CB350RS. While the H’ness is retro, the CB350 takes things to another level of old-school appeal.

With large bulbous fenders, a slightly larger-looking tank and a peashooter type exhaust, the Honda CB350 is closer to the Royal Enfield Classic 350 than ever. The CB350 is offered in multiple paint options- Precious Red Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, Matte Crust Metallic, Matte Marshal Green Metallic, and Matte Dune Brown. All the colours get a tanned brown leather seat, except the black paint option, which uses a body-coloured seat cover.

Powering the new CB350 is the same 348.36cc, air-cooled, engine that dishes 20.78bhp and 30Nm. It is linked to a five-speed gearbox and comes nestled in a double-cradle form. This setup is suspended on telescopic front forks and gas-charged rear springs. The braking hardware comprises a 310mm front and 240mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS. These are mounted on alloy wheels wrapped in road-biased tyres.

Along with all LED lighting, the new Honda CB350 has a Honda Smartphone Voice Control system, Honda Selectable Torque Control, and an emergency stop signal. You can purchase the Honda CB350 in two variants – DLX and DLX PRO.

Honda CB350 Review

  • Good Things

    • Modern retro styling is great to look at
    • Gets dual-channel ABS
    • Exhaust sounds good
  • Could be Better

    • Pillion seat has less space
    • Sold only through Bigwing outlets

BikeWale's Take

The Highness CB 350 is the Royal Classic 350 rival but with modern equipment. The bike is loaded with features and is powered by a brand-new 350cc engine which offers good mid-range torque and great refinement. The exhaust sound of this Honda is pretty good. Unfortunately, the bike isn’t available in all Honda showrooms and can only be bought through BigWing outlets.

Unfortunate and not satisfied with Honda

      Ambarish

I purchased a Honda CB350 on 30th August and they announced the recall campaign just one month after my purchase. When I gave my bike to the first service, I found that there was a gap between the headlight rim and the main body of the headlight. When I asked them they said we can't do anything now. The gap still exists and it doesn't look good. The USB charger is not working out of the box, I made the mistake of not checking it during the delivery, and now they are saying the electrical system is not under warranty. In the rear mirrors, we can't see anything. I don't have the confidence to turn left or right, I need to see back since mirrors are useless. Even 2 months after the announcement of the recall, no one has called me for part replacement. It seems they need to replace a camshaft and sensor, which needs the opening of the engine. I am not confident of the reliability of the vehicle now. I am disappointed by the brand Honda.

Product quality is not good. It is not recommended to buy the Honda Hynes CB350 due to its poor engine quality. During long rides, we have faced multiple issues, like exaltation false, and the bike is not able to run smoothly. The bike's engine quality is poor compared to other bikes in this price range. I personally recommend that you choose another bike.

I have been driving it for around 2 months now. Getting 30 mileage in Bangalore traffic and 41-42 on highways when driven at 80 speed constantly. The bike is cool, no complaints about it. No heating issues or any other kind of issues were noticed. I was super confused between this and the classic 350 but chose this due to this having a slipper assist-clutch, traction control, and Honda reliability.

I bought this motorcycle second-hand. It was wonderfully maintained by Mr. Suhail Ahmed, the first owner. The engine is excellent and inspires me to ride more every time. Its sound makes me feel relaxed psychologically throughout. Amazingly mileage is crossing 48 on long rides too.

I had an RE Thunderbird earlier, I had so much discomfort with that bike from Day 1, that I was wondering whether to switch to a new bike after I reached my threshold of using RE, I did try multiple bikes before finalizing the Honda CB 350, It's been 7 months clocked near 6k thoroughly a robust engine, practical, easy to maintain bike compared to RE. The only glitch I could notice in my new machine is its poor lighting, else this is a beast.

      CB350 review

      Narender Byravarasu

The buying experience was good. The Build quality is also good.
The riding is also fine, but above 80Kms it needs some effort to pull.
Here are my Pros and Cons
      Pro's:
      The Honda Badging
      Build Quality
      Cons:
The biggest drawback is engine, which is Air-cooled, I'm surprised that Honda gave a 350 CC engine an Air-cooled option, it should be Oil or Liquid Cooled. Because of Air cooled engine, it heats like anything, and you can feel that while driving in traffic and on long rides as well. Didn't expect this.
The Service costs are too much, it's not that we use the bike for long rides, we use for daily commutes also, hence whenever i go for servicing they tell me that Brake pads, Clutch pads etc. need to be changed. That's ridiculous, when asked they said we should not be driving that much in heavy traffic, and we should not apply pressure on brakes. So disappointed here as well.
I get a message saying that some defective parts needs to be replaced after 1 year of purchasing the vehicle, its related to breaking and ABS, which was never told to me for all 4 free services. So, it's not a good approach by Honda.
Overall, purchase this if you want to occasionally travel in heavy traffic and frequent long drives. I won't suggest this for city drives, Family drives etc.
The mileage is also not that great, in traffic conditions i get around 25kms.

      Tips for other riders

The Air-cooled engine is not suitable for 350cc engines, it's a blunder from Honda. The service costs are very high, and you cannot drive this vehicle in heavy traffic conditions. It's a bike for leisure rides, so spend 250K for leisure rides only, not suitable for city and family.

Main Issue With Gear Shifting Ratio

      Sanjit Gupta

Cons: Aftermarket support: Compared to other popular models, the aftermarket support for customization and performance upgrades for the CB350 might be somewhat limited, restricting options for personalization.
Narrow Power Band: The gear ratios in 2nd and 3rd gears may not be optimally spaced, resulting in a narrow power band. This could lead to a lack of responsiveness or acceleration hesitation, especially when trying to maintain momentum in traffic or during overtaking maneuvers.
Limited Flexibility: The gear ratios in these gears might not offer enough flexibility in various riding conditions. Riders may find themselves frequently needing to shift gears to find the ideal balance between power and efficiency, which can be tiresome during longer rides.

      CB350 review

      Amal Sasikumar

Negatives First: The motorcycle has severe quality issues, especially with fuel pump and paint quality. My fuel pump got damaged within 3 years/18000 kms and my silencer bend pipe got replaced due to rust. Another problem is stiff suspension as it is not comfortable if the road condition is poor, and then comes the poor visibility issue during night rides.
Apart from this, everything is good.

Try to check if your motorcycle has an issue with the fuel pump which is a common issue in this model.
