The Honda SP 125 is a straightforward commuter that offers good overall performance and correct fuel performance. The overall comfort is also just okay. Moreover, the design of the motorcycle is conservative and the price is quite high, so it is far from a good deal. The 125cc engine delivers adequate power for daily commuting and is gentle, providing smooth acceleration. It provides an excellent balance of fuel economy and power, making it perfect for everyday use. The speed is quick. The Honda SP 125 is a practical and trustworthy bike for city commuting.

Honda SP 125 Review: 25,000 km and Still Going Strong
32 weeks ago

Honda SP 125 Review: 25,000 km and Still Going StrongBuying Experience:The Honda SP 125 is a popular choice, so finding one at a dealership shouldn't be difficult. Honda dealerships are known for their efficient service, making the buying process relatively smooth.Riding Experience (25,000 km):After 25,000 km, you can expect the SP 125 to deliver a comfortable and reliable ride. The engine should be nicely settled in, offering smooth gear shifts and a refined feel. With a claimed mileage of 70 kmpl (which may vary depending on riding style and conditions), you'll likely be impressed with the fuel efficiency.Looks, Performance, and Build (25,000 km):The SP 125 boasts a sporty design with sharp lines and a muscular stance. While not a powerhouse, the 125cc engine provides enough pep for city traffic and comfortable cruising on highways at moderate speeds. The build quality is known for being excellent, and with regular servicing, the SP 125 should hold up well for many years. However, some riders with extensive mileage might experience minor niggles like vibrations or slight rattles, which can usually be addressed during servicing.Servicing and Maintenance (25,000 km):Honda has a widespread service network, ensuring easy access to service centers and genuine spare parts. Regular servicing is crucial for maintaining performance and fuel efficiency. With 25,000 km on the odometer, you might need to consider replacing wear-and-tear items like brake pads, chain, or tires.Pros (25,000 km Perspective):Excellent Mileage: The SP 125 is known for its impressive fuel economy, especially if you maintain a steady riding style. This translates to significant fuel cost savings over 25,000 km.Reliable Engine: Honda engines are renowned for their reliability, and the SP 125 should be no exception. With proper maintenance, you can expect a trouble-free ride for many years.Low Maintenance Costs: Regular servicing is important, but the SP 125 is known for being relatively inexpensive to maintain.Comfortable Ride: The SP 125 offers a comfortable riding position, suitable for both city commutes and longer rides (with potential adjustments for seat comfort after extensive mileage).Cons (25,000 km Perspective):Limited Power: While sufficient for city riding, the 125cc engine might feel underpowered for highway cruising, especially with a pillion rider or cargo. Not for Tall Riders: Some taller riders might find the SP 125 a bit cramped, especially after long rides.Potential for Niggles: With high mileage, you might experience minor issues like vibrations or rattles. These can usually be addressed during servicing.Overall:The Honda SP 125 is a compelling choice for riders seeking a fuel-efficient, reliable, and comfortable motorcycle for everyday commuting. Having clocked 25,000 km, it should continue to serve you well with proper maintenance. However, if you crave high power or are a very tall rider, you might want to consider other options.

Honda SP 125 Maintenance Tips: Keep Your Ride Running Smooth :- Following these tips will help ensure your Honda SP 125 runs smoothly and delivers optimal performance for miles to come: General Maintenance: Regular Servicing: Stick to the recommended service intervals outlined in your owner's manual. This typically involves oil changes, filter replacements, and a general check-up by a qualified mechanic. Chain Care: Regularly clean, lubricate, and adjust your chain according to the manual's instructions. A neglected chain can lead to reduced performance, increased wear on sprockets, and even breakage. Tire Care: Maintain proper tire pressure as recommended in the manual. Visually inspect tires for wear and tear, and replace them when the tread depth reaches the wear limit. Brakes: Regularly check brake pads for wear and have them replaced when necessary. Ensure proper brake fluid level and condition. Additional Tips: Warm Up: Before hitting the road, allow the engine to warm up for a minute or two, especially during cold mornings. Riding Style: Avoid harsh acceleration, sudden braking, and engine revving for extended periods. A smooth and consistent riding style will prolong the engine's life. Storage: If storing your SP 125 for an extended period, disconnect the battery, fill the fuel tank to minimize air space (preventing rust), and inflate the tires to recommended pressure. Cleaning: Regularly wash your SP 125 to remove dirt and grime. Pay attention to the chain and sprockets during cleaning. Remember: Consult your owner's manual for specific service intervals and maintenance procedures. If you're uncomfortable performing any maintenance tasks yourself, take your SP 125 to a qualified mechanic. By following these tips, you can ensure your Honda SP 125 continues to be a reliable and enjoyable companion for your rides.

When I was buying this bike, I was shocked about it's look because this is not a sport bike but it's look like a sports bike, and it's mileage 65 km per liter I think it's a good choice for servicemen and it's price is matching with it's performance, when I ride this bike I feel like that I am riding a sport bike, but I want to tell you that about it's tyre. when the speed is 40-50 Km the tyre grip is very good with the road but when speed is 60 km up then I fell that the tyre is not make strong grip with road , otherwise this bike is so cool and very useful for all servicemen and others , but due to family reason I sold this bike, otherwise It's good bike.

The worst experience in the rainy season back tyre size was small due to the bike slipping and spare parts were not available in Mumbai last month and zero visibility at night multiple times saved by god. The overall bike's average mileage is good after service. Looking stylish a sport bike but the feeling of riding is equal to a regular bike.

Good commuter and sporty look

Sumit

Buying experience is good. Riding experience is average. Not good and super.. Looks are good performance is also good. Servicing and maintenance is high. Mileage is good.. But, Since bought sp125 bs6, its spend his more time in service center than riding with us. Really never buy sp125... Bajaj pulsar is good. Sp125 provides only look and features. But not quality reliable.

There is a gear shifting problem in this bike. Every time when it happens u have to stop there come to 1st gear and again u have to start. After 1st service, I raised this issue and they said they adjusted the clutch. After that, I am facing lot more issues. Pick up got reduced, while. Driving sometimes suddenly some sound comes. Getting irritated with this. My suggestion is please don't buy this bike.
