Purchased the bike in the month of Aug- 2020. For first 3k kms, Riding experience was smooth. But everything changed after a long ride of 570 km. Started facing problems like oil leakage, vibration after crossing 80 km in highways, rusting and ground clearance also started with jawa. If you and pillion go for a ride during night time, headlamp will face upwards. There was a short circuit in the headlamp during a short ride. In 12 months, I have visited service center more than 15 times. Jawa has to hire trained professionals for their service center. Tensioner gasket has to be replaced for 8000 kms. Service cost is 4200 for 3rd service.
Pros: looks only. Nothing other than that.
Cons: vibration, battery issues, frequent break sound, maintenance, ground clearance.
    Don't go with jawa.

Riding condition is very appealing in this bike. Controlling sitting posture much comfortable as compare to royal enfield. Ride quality and handling is impressive overall thumbs up for 5 star rating to this bike. But only one thing i am really worried about it’s service and maintenance because jawa chosen less city.

  • A near perfect machine for all riding souls

    Soumyadip Chakraborty

Till now I have done only 1500 kms on my jawa.
But I took every ride(almost)for reviewing it since I got a Creta too I ride jawa for fun only. Recently I got attracted to touring on bikes and I desired a cruiser for long. Now lets discuss my findings.
    1.Engine is very responsive
    2.Braking is fantastic
    3.looks just wow
4.For city rides its quite comfortable, but not so on touring
5.you won't get that thump of an RE
    6.Horn could have been louder.
7.Top end is not very strong.
Now what I did , I installed peraks handlebar, changed stock seat, installed hydraulic clutch for ease in long rides.
I don't have any complaints on performance. Its cruising speed is around 80 km/h. If you ride it in 60 km/h you are more than relaxed and upto 80 its stays composed. Beyond 100 bike feels light, not planted. Sitting on jawa for more than 1hour may be painful at a stretch. Lights are kind of ok.
Overall I would like to give 7/10 .
If you want a cruiser with performance go for it. Its not that dull like RE.

  • this bike is for you

    Naveen Kumar

well I don't brag about brand or Name, I simply love bikes I don't care what name it got. this bike is cool looking bike and in my village I am the only one got it. road presence is great. when you buy this motor cycle please keep in mind the problems you face and of-course you can make negatives about any bike there it is in this world. if you are ok with it and if you can deal with it then you can buy any bike. let's go into the problems you will face.
    cons:
    (1) when you buy this bike please do the first service as soon as possible because there may be clutch wire or throttle problem which will stop the bike in the middle of the traffic. ( it's not your raiding style which will make the bike to stop). (2) paint quality is not great you will get scratches so easy, so you have to do lamination or ceramic coating as soon as you buy it. (3) change the seat cushion(not the entire design) immediately when you buy, if you don't you will definitely have your butt on fire after 150km straight ride. and also add simple (not heavy looking)crash guard and back rest. (4) use chain cleaner and lube otherwise chain will get noisy. (5) ground clearance is not going to be a problem as per me but go slow when you are raiding with pillion
    (6) service should be normal as per requirements I got bill for 1727/- and 1750 for first two services and a break pad for 390/-
pros: I won't tell you pros because I love this bike not because it's jawa or something. but it got good performance, looks, build quality and mileage as well. mileage is around 37 to 40 for me. but before first service I got 34.5 something'
    well should you buy it?????
you should select which bike suits you and which bike you can handle as per your taste, height, your requirements, where you ride it (touring, off road, on road, commuter, sports, naked sports, high performance) etc. but if you like bikes buy any bike and deal with its maintenance and cons.
happy raiding bros and sis. peace out.

A power-packed beast with a 300cc engine.Regarding its mileage and power it's too great with a 6 shift gear box .... But if we consider its comfort i'm bit disappointed.. Not that much good for long rides.. Seat is a bit hard... Shock absorber are also little stiff... Overall if buying for small rides it's best...

  • The Jawa 42 - A Modern Tribute to Classic Heritage

    Sharan

The Jawa 42, a creation by Classic Legends, beautifully blends the nostalgia of the past with the demands of the present. It's a modern-day tribute to the iconic Jawa motorcycles that ruled the roads decades ago. In this review, we'll delve into the various aspects of the Jawa 42 and see if it lives up to the legacy it aims to uphold.
    Design (9/10):
The Jawa 42 is an absolute head-turner. Its retro styling is a testament to the timeless design philosophy of the original Jawa motorcycles. The round headlamp, teardrop fuel tank, and minimalistic bodywork exude vintage charm, while subtle modern touches like alloy wheels and matte finishes give it a contemporary appeal. It's a design that sparks conversations and admiration wherever you go.
    Engine and Performance (8/10):
Under the classic exterior, the Jawa 42 boasts a 293cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. While it may not be the most powerful in its class, it strikes a balance between performance and efficiency. The engine's distinctive exhaust note is a nod to the Jawa's heritage, evoking memories of the past. It's ideal for city commuting and relaxed highway cruising, providing a smooth and enjoyable ride.
    Ride and Handling (8/10):
The Jawa 42 excels in terms of ride comfort and handling. The riding posture is upright and relaxed, making it suitable for long journeys. The suspension setup, with telescopic front forks and twin shock absorbers at the rear, ensures a comfortable and controlled ride, even on uneven surfaces. Maneuvering through traffic or navigating twisty roads is a breeze, thanks to its nimble nature.
Build Quality and Attention to Detail (7/10):
Classic Legends has put considerable effort into maintaining the build quality and attention to detail. The fit and finish of the Jawa 42 are commendable, with carefully crafted components and a premium feel. However, some riders have reported minor issues, so it's essential to ensure proper maintenance and care for long-term reliability.
Price and Value for Money (9/10):
One of the Jawa 42's most attractive features is its pricing. It offers a taste of classic motorcycling without breaking the bank. The cost is competitive, making it accessible to a wide range of riders who seek a blend of heritage and modernity.
    Ownership Experience (8/10):
The Jawa 42's ownership experience is largely positive. Classic Legends has worked on expanding its service network, improving spare parts availability, and enhancing customer support. However, depending on your location, these aspects may vary, so it's advisable to check the local service infrastructure.
In conclusion, the Jawa 42 is a motorcycle that successfully rekindles the romance of classic motorcycling. It's a charming, well-rounded package that combines style, performance, and affordability. While there may be some minor room for improvement in terms of build quality, it's a solid choice for riders looking to embrace the timeless legacy of Jawa motorcycles in the modern era. The Jawa 42 is more than just a motorcycle; it's a connection to a rich heritage and a promise of delightful journeys on the open road.

Its not that dull like RE.

well I don't brag about brand or Name, I simply love bikes I don't care what name it got. this bike is cool looking bike and in my village I am the only one got it. road presence is great. when you buy this motor cycle please keep in mind the problems you face and of-course you can make negatives about any bike there it is in this world. if you are ok with it and if you can deal with it then you can buy any bike. let's go into the problems you will face.
    (6) service should be normal as per requirements I got bill for 1727/- and 1750 for first two services and a break pad for 390/-
pros: I won't tell you pros because I love this bike not because it's jawa or something. but it got good performance, looks, build quality and mileage as well. mileage is around 37 to 40 for me. but before first service I got 34.5 something'
    well should you buy it?????
you should select which bike suits you and which bike you can handle as per your taste, height, your requirements, where you ride it (touring, off road, on road, commuter, sports, naked sports, high performance) etc. but if you like bikes buy any bike and deal with its maintenance and cons.
happy raiding bros and sis. peace out.
