Reviews of Jawa 42 [2018-2023]

Plenty has been written about the way this bike looks. This isn't a motorcycle it's a lemon!!
The bike started giving me problems right from the day I bought it. It stalled on numerous occasions while I was riding it just after delivery!! the local dealership and its service center are downright pathetic. Have to take the bike for service every Saturday!! every time one problem is solved two more crop up. It stalls at high speeds, racer jams within a short span, chain squeaks after riding 50 odd kms..Etc. Etc. It's a bouquet of issues. Request people to not buy this half-baked product.

The bike was rusting in just two years and the suspension quality is very poor I am not recommended to buy this bike after two years of experience and the build quality of the bike is not good the maintenance is very high and expensive the sitting position is not good and comfortable.

The jawa 42 is one of the most selling bikes of jawa. Though the jawa has entered the Indian market after a long gap, it still remain to bring up its bike as i used to manufacture in its olden days.I would rather consider jawa 42 as a modern-classic cruiser because the body work resembles a retro style with a pinch of modern electronics and equipment. Advantages -1. Retro style 2. The engine is of 300cc 3. Instrument cluster is well placed and designed. Disadvantage-1. The seat provided as stock is not that comfortable, during long rides you may feel some pain 2. When it comes to the sound the stock exhaust is not up to the expectation (in my point of view)If anyone is a jawa lover, then its good to go for it....But it's this segment one has many options like royal enfield 350 both classic and thunderbird. Surely royal enfield will not make you disappoint in this segment of bikes.

I took test ride of jawa bike this month at chandigarh. This was my 1st experience with jawa bike and i was amazed with sitting and pickup of this bike. My budget is allowing me to buy this bike at present but i am sure this will be my next bike, as i always wanted to get this kind of looks in bike. This bike also suits to hight i am 5.8 therefore i can easily handle this bike.

I purchased it from cult classic gachibowli hyderabad.
The buying process was pretty smooth, got my bike delivered the day visited for the test ride.
Pros:
Nice power, it really feels when you roll the throttle.
Good handling and saddle posture.
Nice looks and good presentation.
Mileage is good enough for 300cc [30 - 33kmpl]
Nice sporty sound with stock silencers
Cons:
Very basic console.
No USB port.
As per other reviews, I don't see any engine heating issues. Engine heating will be felt before the first service but will be resolved after the first service.
Overall I am very satisfied with Jawa 42 2.1 ownership.

I wanted to replace my classic 350 but I am hesitate what I have to but mateor or jawa 42.First time when I go for test drive I can't even back without booking. It's very smooth and easily ride in city or traffic. Especially it's look ,meter box branding .I gave it second service its very smooth just give new liquide, chain cleaning and other some cleaning. I have not faced any problem only one thing is ground clearance finishing and speed is very bad.

2. Instant pickup like a beast; best feel you can get as a rider within the city and on highways as well during long drives.
3. Superior road grip and control even during turns and around corners due to weight and low ground clearance.

Enjoyed the experience of delivery at the Guntur showroom. test drive the vehicle and committed to buying this.
Viewed similar vehicles and found nil vibrations in Jawa 42. Had done the city and highway drives after owning the vehicle and found it is solid both in the city and highway. Suspension is just awesome.
