  • Good looks and acceleration but super uncomfortable

    Akhil

After 6 months of booking, i got my perak. The bike got an appealing look. I was attracted with its bobber style. I have bought it for daily commuting. I am the first owner of perak in j&k. Acceleration and performance wise its pretty good. O-100 in just about 8 seconds. Dual channel abs totally helps in controlling the bike when you are riding at more than 100 kmph. I am riding this bike continuously from the past 20 days and thats the pros i felt about this bike. Now talking about the cons. First thing first, the odometer position is totally way forward, while riding, the rider cannot see the down side of the odometer as its face is way forward. Next thing, suspensions are poor, if you are riding at more than 50kmph, it cannot protect you from even small potholes, you will feel super uncomfortable. At even 25kmph, you cannot run over a speed breaker, as the bike will hit the ground due to low ground clearance. Its a super hard bike with poor suspension. Next thing, the horn is very bad as compared to its look. Even activa scooter has better horn than perak. Another thing, the mileage i am getting is about 20-21 kmpl while company claims it to be 35 kmpl and thats too low. Last thing, the side stand is small and it cannot stand on off-road surface as it has a risk to fall down.Final words, its a small ride city bike, that can only be ridden on flat and clean road with no bumps at all (which is not possible on Indian roads). So buy only if you are super comfortable in accepting big shocks on small pits for spending around 2.5 lakh on a jawa bobber bike.

  • Pathetic bike ever made in india in premier segment with a fake hype as a dark knight... Rather saying its a nightmare

    Shashikanth Thate

Since day one i have been having issues with this bike, dealers are fooling by giving customers a demo ride of bs4 which is good by the time you buy the bike they deliver bs6 and you feel you are fooled as the bs6 performance is pathetic and full of problems, my bike engine has been opened in 300 kms and still the issue is un resolved and jawa takes 3 weeks to make parts available, seems like mahindra group is unfit to get into two wheeler segment, this is the second time i lost faith in mahindra in two wheeler segment. A premier segment bike having so many engine issues. Bike sounds like a sewing machine and as the bike gets hotter the performance gets worst, clutch gets harder that your hand starts paining that you forget to understand what you bought this bike for. Engine sounds more than the exhaust, technicians go bonkers to understand what could be the issues and they try making customers fool. No information is provided on what parts have been replaced and kept confidential.

Look is awesome. Is there any possibility of getting two seats in the future? I am looking forward to buy this but thinking of the single seat. Otherwise look is awesome. The colour makes it look more stylish. The bike is superb to ride. I wish Jawa company comes out with a solution for single seat. Better bring it as a double seated one.

Got this bike in nov 2020. Love this bike. Rode around 1000 km by now and completely impressed. In nutshell:1) awesome look. A great head turner. Gives a perception that its a custom design. Everywhere people praise it elegant and macho look. So a complete winner in low price segment wrt style and looks. The side look of this bike is just like the macho jaguar logo.2) pillion seat- not a bike if you are looking for one as it will hamper the look so not sure even if company will ever come with second seat. Its for solo riders and believe me its worth every penny if you have it. 3) performance- i tried doing 200+ kms / day 3 times and it is a beast with optimum performance.4) mileage- as its 350 cc so you get a decent mileage of 30 or so. For me it around 30 and never felt that its consuming too much but rather as desired.5) low clearance- i thought it would be a big issue while buying it but after these 1 and half month and 1000km i did not face any issue with it. In fact i rode to some rough roads (mumbai to alibag- there are certainly great deal of rough patches while on the way). However to be on the safer side i rode carefully on the speed breakers . All in all i don't see it as any issue unless one is planning for off-roads coz certainly this bike is not meant for that.6) sound- at first i though its not as strong as enfield bikes but during the ride i realized its even way better and at high speeds and throttle give a perception of that traditional helicopters sound and love it.7) controls- very traditional/retro and very handy, the way i like it. Unlike the most of the bike with too much of electronic controls which i honestly don't like. It varies person to person. So if you want a stylish, retro feel, beast for solo rides and most importantly a head turner (custom feel) at a price below 5 lakh than this is your ride.

Got my delivery in january , and writing this review after a little over 2000kms. My daily commute is less than 8kms round-trip, so almost the entirety of the 2000kms have been on weekend rides. 1. Th is bike loves the highways, and seemed comfortable cruising between 90-100kmph for extended periods.2. Travelling solo, with luggage is fine, but ground clearance becomes a major issue with pillion. Have to be extra careful while banking hard or crossing the odd speed bump.3. Average mileage over 2k kms is 38.4kmpl. Pure steady highway rides have got me 39+ kmpl, and pure in-city traffic heavy commutes have got me 34.7kmpl.4. 2nd 3rd gears feel too short and frequent gear changes in city traffic can be a bother.

  • Jawa perak - amazing beauty solo rider life India's own bobber bike

    Surajkumar

Simply beauty --- India's own 1st bobber bike.... Yes waited for this bike for 3.5 months after booking , but finally got my dream bike. Very smooth, refine engine, one of the great pick up in this range of bike, best for cruising, most beautiful bike with vintage look, twin silencer, seat tail light is rock. Jawa service centre is really good and staff is matured and followed all protocol while servicing and checking all perimeters of bike. Service cost is really low as compare to rival bikes. Pros look no competition, seating really comfortable, exhaust is sweet, super pickup, dual abs is working best in class, handling is really cool and you can be ride at your own style., fuel mileage is really good compare to rivals, jawa is legacy and i didn't chose jawa perak, perak choose me. Singe seat is for solo rider and you can ride and live your own life. Cons - long waiting for delivery - but it worth to wait. Jawa needs to launch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres. But looks old school vintage with spokes. Very happy and proud owner of jawa perak.

  • Stylish beast

    Salil Verma

  • Stylish beast

    Salil Verma
