The 2024 Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 was recently launched in India at a price tag of Rs. 2.92 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Here we bring to you the detailed image gallery of the new Svartpilen 401.
The Svartpilen 401 shares its underpinnings with the KTM 390 Duke. So, it shares its engine, chassis and most of its hardware with its Austrian cousin. However, it features a neo-retro scrambler styling that looks very radical and unconventional.
That said, its retro appeal is enhanced by elements like the circular LED headlamp with a stubby visor, classic rectangular blinkers, and round mirrors.
Despite the updated styling, the Svartpilen 401’s design stays true to the Husqvarna family styling, which includes the distinctively styled fuel tank with branding on the protrusions and a purposeful ‘rack’ on the tank that lends a rugged look to the motorcycle.
With the updated design, Husqvarna seems to have increased the overall length of the motorcycle. The Svartpilen 401 gets a longer tail section and a split-type seat. Meanwhile, the number plate holder has been repositioned onto the rear fender.
In terms of features, the Svartpilen 401 comes loaded with ride-by-wire throttle, traction control system, supermoto ABS, quickshifter+, LED lighting and a TFT colour instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. The motorcycle also gets two ride modes and an Easy Shift feature.
Powering the Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 is an all-new 399cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is housed inside a steel trellis frame. This new motor produces 45.4bhp at 9,000rpm and 39Nm at 7,000rpm. The engine comes paired with a six-speed gearbox along with an assist and slipper clutch offered as standard.
The Svartpilen 401 is suspended on adjustable WP Apex upside-down forks up front and an adjustable monoshock at the back. Meanwhile, braking hardware consists of a 320mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc.
