Husqvarna has taken the wraps off the 2024 Svartpilen 401 and the Swedish scrambler has undergone quite a few updates in its latest generation. The bike is now launched in India and here are the details for it.
On the design front, the new Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 carries the same rugged appearance. It features a larger round LED headlight with an LED ring on the periphery. The overall proportions of the 2024 Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 seem more pronounced. The side panels have been redone and the fascia now comprises an ornamental visor. Then, the side-mounted exhaust has made way for a new underbelly setup, similar to what we see on the new KTM 390 Duke. Even the single-side mounted tyre hugger has been replaced with a proper tail setup. Not to mention, the latest generation of the Svartpilen 401 also uses a new trellis frame, borrowed from its Austrian sibling.
Powering the 2024 Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 is a 398.6cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine and it makes 46bhp at 9,000rpm and 39Nm at 7,000rpm. The engine is linked to a six-speed gearbox and gets a bi-directional quickshifter. Like the engine and the hardware, the new Husqvarna 401 also borrows the electronic aids from the 390 Duke. Hence, it gets a ride-by-wire, traction control, Supermoto ABS and other features including a five-inch TFT with optional smartphone connectivity, and a type-C charging port.
The 2024 Husqvarna 401 rides on adjustable WP Apex USD front forks and an adjustable WP Apex monoshock. The braking setup includes a 320mm front and a 240mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS. These are mounted on 17-inch spoke wheels wrapped in 110/70 front and 150/60 rear Pirelli block pattern tyres. The Svartpilen 401 gets a 13.5-litre fuel tank and it tips the scale at 171.2kg.
The asking price for the 2024 Svartpilen 401 is Rs. 2,92,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and it rivals the Yezdi Scrambler and Royal Enfield Scram 411.
