Husqvarna has launched the 2024 Vitpilen 250 in India recently alongside its bigger sibling, the Svartpilen 401 in the country. The motorcycle gets quite a bit of changes that set it apart from the previous model. So, if you are looking to know what’s different, you have come to the right place because here we list everything about the new Vitpilen 250 in five points.
Design
While it continues to have the same silhouette as the previous-gen model, Husqvarna has tweaked the styling to give the 2024 Vitpilen 250 a fresher appeal. The fuel tank’s protruding shape is more prominent now while the rear section is sleeker. Even at the front, the fender is wider while the circular LED headlamp is larger on the 2024 model. It continues to come with one colour option.
Features
To begin with, it offers full-LED lighting. But what is notable is the upgrade in its feature list. The motorcycle now gets a five-inch LCD screen with optional Bluetooth connectivity. Then there is the traction control system, ride-by-wire throttle and Quickshifter+ along with switchable ABS and Type-C charging port.
Engine
Powering the Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 is a 249cc, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 30.57bhp at 9,500rpm and 25Nm at 7,500rpm. This unit is paired to a six-speed gearbox.
Hardware
Under the refreshed bodywork is a steel trellis frame with a 43mm USD fork by WP and a preload adjustable monoshock. The bike gets a 320mm disc at the front with sintered pads and a 240mm disc at the rear along with dual-channel ABS. The 2024 Husqvarna Vitpilen 250 also gets a higher ground clearance but a lower seat height of 820mm. That said, the fuel tank capacity has gone up to 13.5-litres while the kerb weight is at 163.8kg.
Pricing
Husqvarna has priced the motorcycle at Rs 2.19 lakh, ex-showroom making it much cheaper than the KTM 250 Duke which costs Rs 2.39 lakh, ex-showroom. Given the features and specs it offers, the Vitpilen 250 now seems like a good value for money proposition.
