Ather has decided to expand its presence by opening new showrooms in major cities like Mumbai, New Delhi, Pune and Hyderabad. The company has invited dealer partners to setup these showrooms.
This is the first time the company has invited dealer partners to setup these outlets. Till now, Ather used to setup and run its own showrooms in Bengaluru and Chennai. With this new expansion strategy, the Bengaluru-based startup wants to bring in more sales. Just like Ather did it in Bengaluru and Chennai, it will also setup public charging points across these new cities. This will be done prior to the delivery of the Ather 450 scooters.
Interestingly, more than 200 people from 75 cities have applied for dealerships in just 24 hours. This clearly suggests that a lot of people are interested in running an Ather showroom. As part of the deal, Ather will design the retail space and also the experience centre. The dealers will be responsible for sales and service of the 450 and the future Ather products.
