Carberry Motorcycle has unveiled its new 1000cc V-twin engine. Called Double Barrel 1000, this engine has been created by combining two 500cc Royal Enfield engines.
The Double Barrel 1000 is an air-cooled, overhead valve, pushrod motor with an 84mm bore and 90mm stroke. The 55-degree mill delivers 56.32bhp and 108Nm of torque. While this engine is carburetted, the company claims that a fuel-injected version is also in works. Carberry claims that the engine is BS IV compliant.
Earlier this year, Carberry Motorcycle moved their operations from Australia to India. The company found an investor in Bhilai, where Carberry is currently based out of. Given that India has been home to the brand for several years, there is no shortage of parts, making things easier for the Carberry. The company is expected to start rolling out custom motorcycles based on this engine in the next few months.
