Harley-Davidson has joined the list of manufacturers who have temporarily suspended manufacturing operations due to the Covid-19 outbreak.
The American manufacturer has temporarily halted production in the USA until 29 March after one of its employees tested positive for the coronavirus. Harley-Davidson first shut down the Pilgrim Road Powertrain, Wisconsin where the employee worked. It also halted production at the Tomahawk Operation in Wisconsin as well as the York Vehicle Operations in Pennsylvania after which the rest of Harley-Davidson’s manufacturing facilities were also shut down.
On the other hand, Harley-Davidson has announced the pricing of the BS6-compliant Forty-Eight, Forty-Eight Special which are priced at Rs 10.61 lakhs and Rs 10.98 lakhs. It also launched the BS6-compliant Street 750 at Rs 5.34 lakhs and Street Rod at Rs 6.55 lakhs in India. (all prices ex-showroom).
