- Semi-faired version of the Vitpilen 701.
- Powered by a 690cc, single-cylinder engine.
- Likely to go into production next year.
Husqvarna has unveiled the Vitpilen 701 Aero concept at the 2018 EICMA in Italy.
The bike is based on the Vitpilen 701 which was revealed at last year's EICMA. However, the Aero concept sports a retro, cafe-racer inspired half-fairing which houses a circular headlamp. According to Husqvarna, the motorcycle also offers a sportier riding position due to the slightly higher-set footpegs.
The 701 Aero concept gets a futuristic disc wheel at the rear which obviously won't make it to production, and a slash-cut exhaust similar to the standard Vitpilen 701. The bike also sports a uniquely designed round TFT dash that goes well with the retro theme of the bike.
It is likely to be powered by the same 690cc, single-cylinder engine from the Vitpilen 701. This engine produces 72bhp and 73.5Nm of torque and is mated to a six-speed gearbox and two-way quickshifter. The Vitpilen 701 Aero concept is likely to go into production next year. However, it is unclear if the Swedish manufacturer will launch the bike in Indian markets anytime soon.
