Bookings open on Vida’s official website
Hero Vida recently launched its first electric two-wheeler offering as the V1 electric scooter. Now, most electric two-wheelers in India can only be charged via their standard portable charger. But the Vida V1 takes things up a notch by offering not one but three different charging options: Fast charging, removable batteries, and regular portable chargers.
Thanks to Hero’s ties with Ather Energy, the Vida V1 benefits from fast charging. It gets the same port as the Ather 450X, thereby giving V1 owners access to the Ather Grid along with Vida’s fast chargers. The brand has claimed a time of 65 minutes for 0 to 80 percent recharge using the fast charging method.
Next up, the Vida V1 also gets two removable batteries. Each unit weighs 12kg and can be charged anywhere, be it your home or office. And the third option is the regular charging method. Here, you plug the V1’s portable charger into the slot under the seat. This takes about five to six hours depending on the variant.
The Vida V1 is offered in two trims: V1 Pro and V1 Plus. The asking price for the Plus model is set to Rs 1,45,000 and the Pro model retails at Rs 1,59,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). As of now, the Vida electric scooter is only available in Jaipur, Bengaluru, and New Delhi.
