- New Vida V1 e-scooters to be launched next year
- Current focus is to expand the sales presence
- Vida V1 was launched in October 2022
Hero MotoCorp’s electric two-wheeler division – Vida, will expand its portfolio next year. The company is planning to launch more variants of the V1.
According to a leaked presentation, Vida is in the process of expanding the brand phase-wise. This year, it wants to open new showrooms in multiple cities and sell the current line-up of V1 e-scooters. Once the brand has a good sales presence throughout the country, it will start launching newer variants of the V1 next year.
At the time of the Vida 1 launch in October 2022, the company focused its presentation on the modular aspect of the e-scooter. The V1 platform has been designed and developed in such a way that the brand could play with the aesthetics of the product but changing or removing body panels. Through this route, the brand could help expand its consumer base as more of them will be able to find the right design choice.
We are expecting Vida also to introduce bigger or smaller battery capacities to play with the overall pricing of the e-scooter. This product competes with the Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube and the Ola S1 Pro.
