Hero MotoCorp has announced that its Vida electric scooters will be sold via the e-commerce website, Flipkart. Notably, this electric scooter range is available in three cities in India – Bangalore, Jaipur, and Delhi – while Hero MotoCorp is aggressively expanding its availability in more markets. As reported earlier, they will soon launch the Vida electric scooter range in Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Nashik, Nagpur, and Ahmedabad.
The company has commenced the reservations for this electric scooter range in the markets mentioned above. However, Hero MotoCorp has not revealed details about the prices or deliveries for the V1 range in the aforementioned cities. The V1 range is available from Rs. 1.45 lakh onwards in Bangalore.
This TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak-rivalling electric scooter is currently available in two variants – Plus and Pro. The pricier Pro variant benefits from a longer range, better acceleration, and more colour options. The zero to 40kmph acceleration time for the Plus and the Pro variants stands at 3.4 seconds and 3.2 seconds, respectively. The Pro variant, which gets a bigger battery pack capacity of 3.94kWh, delivers a longer range than the Plus version that comes with a 3.44kWh unit. Meanwhile, standard features on both variants include a claimed top speed of 80kmph and four ride modes – Eco, Ride, Sport, and user-customisable.
The colour palette, too, is slightly different for both versions. The Plus variant, for example, is available in three colours – Matte White, Matte Sports Red, and Gloss Black. In comparison, the Pro version is listed in four paint options – Matte White, Matte Sports Red, Gloss Black, and the additional Matte Abrax Orange.
