Hero MotoCorp has finally taken the wraps off its first-ever electric scooter, the Vida V1. The latest e-scooter from the world’s largest two-wheeler maker packs quite some interesting bits and here are all the details about it.
The Vida V1 electric scooter will be available in two trims: V1 Plus and V1 Pro. It gets dual removable batteries with a combined range of 143km for the Plus variant and 165km for the Pro model. That said, the top speed for both trims is 80kmph. The V1 Plus accelerates from 0-40kmph in 3.4 seconds while the Pro model does it in 3.2 seconds.
On the feature front, the Vida V1 gets LED illumination, a seven-inch TFT touchscreen display, ride modes (eco, ride, sport, and custom) cruise control, two-way throttle, keyless control, smartphone connectivity, and S.O.S. alert as well. It gets a split seat setup, telescopic front forks, single rear shock, and a single disc brake setup. Overall, the scooter looks quite stylish and youthful, to say the least.
The asking price for the Vida V1 Plus is set at Rs 1.45 lakh while the Vida V1 Pro will cost Rs 1.59 lakh (both ex-showroom Delhi sans FAME II subsidy). Hero Vida is also offering a lease option and buyback offer between 16-18 months for the V1 electric scooter.
Currently, the only premium electric two-wheeler offerings in India are the Bajaj Chetak, TVS iQube, Ather 450X Gen 3, Ola S1, and the Revolt RV400.
