Hero MotoCorp is aggressively expanding the availability of its new electric vehicle brand, Vida in the Indian market. The company has now announced that it will enter the Ahmedabad market very soon. Previously, the Hero MotoCorp confirmed the imminent launch of the Vida electric scooters in Chennai, Nashik, Nagpur, and Pune.
While the company has confirmed its imminent entry into the markets mentioned above, it is yet to announce the launch and price details. Regular readers would know that the Vida V1 electric scooter range is currently available in three cities in India – Bangalore, Jaipur, and Delhi. For reference, the V1 range is available from Rs. 1.45 lakh onwards in Bangalore.
Currently, Here MotoCorp offers the Vida V1 electric scooter in two variants – Plus and Pro. The Pro variant, which carries a higher price tag than the Plus model, comes with a longer range, better acceleration, and more colour options. The 0-40kmph acceleration time for the Plus and the Pro variants stands at 3.4 seconds and 3.2 seconds, respectively. The Pro variant, with its bigger battery pack of 3.94kWh, delivers a longer range than the Plus version which uses a 3.44kWh unit. Notably, both scooters boast a claimed top speed of 80kmph and get four ride modes – Eco, Ride, Sport, and user-customisable.
The Hero Vida V1 electric scooter range rivals the likes of TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak in the Indian market.
