After Bangalore, Jaipur, and Delhi, Hero MotoCorp announced the entry of the Vida V1 electric scooter into Chennai. The company has announced that the reservations for this electric scooter have commenced online for Rs. 499. Notably, Hero MotoCorp has not revealed details about the prices or deliveries for the V1 electric scooter in Chennai. For reference, the V1 range is available from Rs. 1.45 lakh onwards in Bangalore.
The company currently offers the Vida V1 electric scooter in two variants – Plus and Pro. The Pro variant, which is available at a premium price tag, comes with a longer range, better acceleration, and more colour options than the Plus version. The 0-40kmph acceleration time for the Plus and the Pro variants stands at 3.4 seconds and 3.2 seconds, respectively. Further, the Pro variant gets a bigger battery pack (3.94kWh), giving it a longer range than the Plus version (3.44kWh). Meanwhile, both scooters boast a claimed top speed of 80kmph and get four ride modes – Eco, Ride, Sport, and user-customisable.
Apart from the battery capacity and acceleration timing, the two variants also feature slightly different colour palettes. The Plus variant is available in three colours – Matte White, Matte Sports Red, and Gloss Black – while the Pro version is offered in four paint options – Matte White, Matte Sports Red, Gloss Black, and the additional Matte Abrax Orange.
