Hero MotoCorp launched its EV sub-brand, Vida, a few days ago and took the wraps off its first electric scooter, the V1. Now, the Vida V1 is available in two variants: V1 Plus and V1 Pro. Both models are identical but differ in other aspects. Let’s take a look at both.
V1 Plus
The Vida V1 Plus electric scooter gets the same futuristic design with LED illumination and a split seat setup as the V1 Pro. But, it packs a 3.44kWh removable battery pack with a claimed range of 143km (Indian Diving Cycle). It gets a top speed of 80kmph and benefits from a 6kW motor (peak power). The V1 Plus can go from 0-40kmph in 3.4 seconds.
The asking price for the V1 Plus is Rs 1,45,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) and Vida offers it in Matte White, Matte Sports Red, and Gloss Black paint schemes.
V1 Pro
Unlike the Vida V1 Plus, the Pro trim gets a larger battery of 3.94kWh, giving it an IDC range of 165km. It gets the same 6kW (peak power) motor but the 0-40kmph time for the V1 Pro is 3.2 seconds. The V1 Pro’s top speed is also 80kmph, just like the Plus model.
The asking price for Vida V1 Pro is Rs 1,59,000 (ex-showroom Delhi) and you can buy it in Matte Abrax Orange, Matte White, Matte Sports Red, and Gloss Black colours.
Both variants are loaded with features like a seven-inch TFT touchscreen, cruise control, ride modes, reverse mode, smartphone connectivity, and fast charging.
