The Husqvarna 701 Supermoto and the 701 Enduro have been spotted undergoing trials in Tenerife, Spain. The Swedish manufacturer had first unveiled the motorcycle at last year’s EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy.
Though both the motorcycles were heavily camouflaged, they seem to be very similar to the concepts that were unveiled last year. Both the 701 models share their architecture with the KTM Duke 690. They are powered by the 690cc single cylinder four-stroke engine that delivers 67bhp through chain drive, though a lighter kerb weight of 145kg means that the Husqvarnas will have better performance than the Austrian sibling.
The 701 Enduro and Supermoto both feature the same WP suspensions used in the KTM Enduro R and SMC R.The styling in the 701 Enduro and Supermoto however, is completely different and they feature a new seat, body panels as well as headlamps and tail lamps. Both the models are going to be launched in 2016, with an unveiling expected during the 2015 EICMA Show.
