- Husqvarna enters electric mobility
- E-Pilen concept gets a range of 100km
- Gets a swappable battery system
Husqvarna Motorcycles plans to extend its portfolio and enter electric mobility with the E-Pilen Concept. The company plans to offer a zero-emissions product range to its existing and future customers.
The design of the E-Pilen is inspired by its existing range of Vitpilen and Svartpilen models. The concept can be seen having a circular headlamp and a lean rectangular-ish tail section. The riding position remains the same which is upright as before with a single piece seat and wide handlebars. Hardware like disc brakes on both ends, under belly pan and a rear mono-shock can also be seen.
The E-Pilen Concept has been developed to serve the urban commuters and leisure riders with a power output of 8kW and a range of 100km with its swappable battery system. Husqvarna Motorcycles says that it will strategically expand its dealer presence in urban and metropolitan areas. Furthermore, information related to E-mobility range will be released in near future.
