- Husqvarna working on 250cc adventure bike
- Will join Explorer series
- Will be made in India
Husqvarna is on fire! After unveiling the stunning Norden 901 adventure concept at EICMA and then the smaller 250s for the Indian market, the Swedish brand is gearing up for something more exciting – an adventure bike.
The company is following the lines of KTM, and is developing a new range of adventure motorcycles under the Explorer category. Husqvarna is currently developing the Explorer 250 along with the 401 adventure bikes. These bikes are likely to make their world debut in the next 2-3 years.
We are expecting the Explorer to get the same 250cc engine from its modern retro siblings, but the frame and the sub-frame are likely to be new, along with the suspension setup. Rest of the cycle parts like instrument cluster and headlamp and tail lamp units are likely to be borrowed from the 250cc siblings.
Just like the Svartpilen 250 and the Vitpilen 250, the Explorer 250 will also be made in India and will be sold in the country as well. We are expecting its world debut by 2021 but the concept version could come before that.
