- Husqvarna sells 410 units in the first month of India launch
- Both motorcycles priced at Rs 1.80 lakh
Husqvarna launched the Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250 in India in March. And within the first month of launch, the two motorcycles have registered a total sale of 410 units.
The Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250 are based on the KTM 250 Duke which had a sales figure of 375 units in March. The Husqvarna twins share the trellis frame with the KTM as well as the 248cc, single-cylinder engine that puts out 29.2bhp and 24Nm.
However, the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250 gets completely different styling. While the Svartpilen takes the shape of a retro scrambler, the Vitpilen sports a cafe-racer styling. Both motorcycles are priced at Rs 1.80 lakh which makes them Rs 20,000 more affordable than the KTM 250 Duke that costs Rs 2 lakh (all prices ex-showroom).
