- Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 to be launched in Europe next month
- Shares its components with the KTM 125 Duke
- Could be launched in India in the near future
Husqvarna’s smallest offering, the Svarptilen 125, will reportedly hit the European market next month. As is the case with other Husqvarna offerings, the Svartpilen 125 also shares components with its same-sized KTM counterpart, the 125 Duke.
The styling of the Svartpilen 125 is identical to the Svartpilen 250 that is sold in India. So it gets a round LED headlamp, sleek LED turn indicators, a sculpted fuel tank that extends till under the seat, and a short and stubby tail section. Moreover, the circular digital console and the single-piece braced handlebar is also the same as the Svartpilen 250.
Powering the baby Husky is a Euro5-compliant, 124.71cc, liquid-cooled engine which churns out 14.3bhp and 12Nm in the KTM 125 Duke. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. The motorcycle is underpinned by a steel trellis frame and rides on 17-inch wheels shod with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR rubbers. It is suspended by WP-branded USD forks and a monoshock while braking is handled by a disc at both ends with ByBre calipers.
In the coming days, Husqvarna will expand its portfolio in India and we can also expect the Svartpilen 125 and the Vitpilen 125 to be introduced here. Both bikes will make the Swedish brand more accessible to the buyers.
