The Husqvarna Svartpilen 250, along with its café-racer style sibling Vitpilen 250, aims to participate in the performance lifestyle segment. The scrambler-style motorcycle from the Swedish two-wheeler manufacturer is a very appealing package and you can read all about it in our detailed review. Here we bring you a round-up of pictures from the review.
The motorcycle aims to combine retro-styling with performance. Styling cues are inspired by its bigger sibling, the Svartpilen 701.
The scrambler-style design is enhanced by a tall handlebar, bolted rack on the fuel tank and block-pattern tyres while its retro-looks are emphasised by a round headlight, circular design for the instrument cluster and spherical rear-view mirrors.
Features like LED headlight with LED DRLs, LED blinkers and taillight and a full-digital instrument cluster add a splash of modern-ness to the retro-styling.
The Svartpilen 250 features 17-inch, eight-spoke alloy wheels that are wrapped in dual-purpose, MRF Revz FD tyres and an exhaust shield.
The motorcycle is powered by a 248.8cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, four-valve, DOHC engine. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the motor is tuned to produce 29.6bhp of power at 9,000rpm and 24Nm of peak torque at 7,500rpm.
The hardware on the motorcycle comprises of WP-sourced upside-down forks at the front and a preload-adjustable mono-shock at the back to perform the suspension tasks.
Stopping power comes from a 320mm disc at the front and a 230mm rotor at the back. The safety net includes dual-channel ABS with Supermoto mode.
Details such as the texture around the headlight housing, premium looking fuel tank lid and the textured seat with the Husqvarna logo emphasise the attention to detail.
The Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 is priced competitively at Rs 1.84 lakh, which is Rs 24,000 lower than the KTM 250 Duke.
