- Both motorcycles get a marginal price increase
- Prices now start at Rs 1,86,752
- No cosmetic or mechanical upgrades to the motorcycles
Swedish motorcycle brand, Husqvarna has revised the prices of the Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250 in the Indian market. The latest increase brings the ex-showroom prices for the Svartpilen 250 and the Vitpilen 250 to Rs 1,86,752 and Rs 1,87,136, respectively. Previously, both motorcycles were available at Rs 1,84,960. Do note that the new price hike does not bring any cosmetic or mechanical upgrades to the quarter-litre motorcycles.
Both motorcycles are powered by a 248.76cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that produces 29.2bhp of power and 24Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox that boasts a slipper clutch function. The Svartpilen 250 and the Vitpilen 250 also share the same steel trellis frame, and other components such as full-LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, upside down front forks, a rear monoshock, disc brake at both ends, and a dual-channel ABS.
While the engine and the underpinning are identical, both motorcycles feature completely different styling. The Svartpilen 250 is a scrambler-styled motorcycle and it thus comes with a tall, single-piece handlebar, metal cladding on the fuel tank, and dual-purpose tyres. The Vitpilen 250 café racer, on the other hand, gets a clip-on handlebar and road-biased tyres.
