- Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250 become more expensive
- Prices hiked by up to Rs 9,728
- Both bikes have received multiple price hikes since launch
Husqvarna’s quarter-litre twins, the Svartpilen 250 and the Vitpilen 250 have joined the price hike spree that begun from 1 April 2021 and are substantially more expensive now. While the Vitpilen 250 has become dearer by Rs 8,717, the Svartpilen 250 demands a heftier premium of Rs 9,728. The new ex-showroom (Mumbai) prices of both bikes are as follows:
Husqvarna Svartpilen 250: Rs 1,98,720
Husqvarna Vitpilen 250: Rs 1,98,093
Bajaj had launched both the Huskies in February 2020 in India with a price tag of Rs 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom). Since then, both bikes have received multiple price hikes, resultantly getting around Rs 19,000 dearer now as compared to their introductory prices.
The Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 is a scrambler-styled offering and the Vitpilen 250 is its café-racer trim. Both bikes boast very distinctive looks with an elegant combination of retro and modern styling. But a majority of cycle parts like the chassis, wheels, suspension and brakes are borrowed from the KTM 250 Duke. And the 248.76cc, liquid-cooled motor is also the same that churns out 29.63bhp of power and 24Nm of peak torque.
Considering their engine capacity, the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250 compete against the Bajaj Dominar 250, Yamaha FZ25 and the Suzuki Gixxer 250.
