Husqvarna has announced the pricing of their entry-level street bikes in the UK. Both the Svartpilen and Vitpilen 401 are priced at GBP 5,599. (Rs 5.11 lakhs).
While both bikes are now available in UK, the manufacturer says that they will be launched in North and South American markets along with Asia and Australia by the end of April. On the other hand, Husqvarna is likely to launch the Svartpilen and Vitpilen 401 in India by 2020.
The Husqvarna Svarpilen, or Black Arrow and the Vitpilen or White Arrow are based on the KTM 390 Duke which is priced in the UK at GBP 4600 (Rs 4.19 lakhs). While the former is styled like a scrambler, the latter sports the design of a modern cafe racer. They are powered by the KTM's 373cc single-cylinder engine that produces 43bhpand 37Nm of torque.
However, as lifestyle products, they will be priced higher than the KTM 390 Duke. We expect the bikes to be priced around Rs 2.5 lakhs-Rs 2.8 lakhs once launched.
