The stage 10 of Dakar saw a lot of action after a day's break due to cancellation of stage 9. Juan Pedrero from Sherco TVS Rally Team finished an impressive 5th in the grueling 797kms stretch of Salta-Belen stretch. However, a 15 minute penalty saw him drop to the 10th position at the end of stage 10.
Oriol Mena from Hero Speedbrain finished an impressive fourth. He rode this stretch in 05:13.11, securing the 14th position in the overall rankings. His team mate, CS Santosh, suffered a crash, but managed to finish the stage 10 in 40th position.
The stage 11 will see the riders ride from Bethlehem to Fiambala and then on to Chilecito. This 485km stretch is considered to be one of the most difficult parts of Dakar 2018.
