Royal Enfield has launched new versions of the Bullet 350 KS (kick start) and the Bullet 350 ES (electric start) in India which are priced at Rs 1.12 lakhs and Rs 1.26 lakhs, respectively (both prices are ex-showroom). With that price tag, the new Bullet 350 KS is Rs 9000 cheaper than the existing model and, is the most affordable motorcycle in the RE’s line-up now.
In essence, the new versions are the cosmetically tweaked models of the Bullet 350 with new paint schemes and blacked-out theme (for ES only). The KS trim will now be available in Bullet Silver, Sapphire Blue, and Onyx Black shades. Meanwhile, the ES model now comes in Jet Black, Regal Red and Royal Blue colour options. Notably, these colour options will be available alongside the currently sold Bullet models which will continue to be retailed at the older pricing. The Bullet 350 KS comes in black colour and is priced at Rs 1.21 lakhs. Subsequently, the ES is offered in Maroon and Silver paint schemes which gets a price tag of Rs 1.35 lakhs.
The new Bullet 350 models remain unchanged mechanically. It is powered by a 346cc, air-cooled, carbureted motor which produces 19.8bhp of power and 28Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a five-speed gearbox. In terms of cycle parts, the motorcycle gets telescopic forks at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear. Braking hardware consists of a disc at the front and drum brake at the rear along with single-channel ABS.
Bookings for the new versions of the Bullet 350 have commenced at dealerships across India. Moreover, Royal Enfield has also announced 250 studio stores in tier II and tier III cities across the country. Besides selling the motorcycles, these outlets will also take care of service and retail of spares. With the launch of more affordable models and aggressive dealership expansion, the company is trying to widen its reach and counter the consistent low sales witnessed over the last few months.
