Next-gen Royal Enfield Bullet 350: What we know so far

Royal Enfield is currently testing the next-generation Bullet 350 that is expected to arrive in our market later this year. The pre-production test mules have made several spy photograph appearances, revealing a few details about the upcoming motorcycle. Here we tell you everything about the next-generation Royal Enfield Bullet 350.

Styling

The styling cues will not be drastically different from the outgoing version. The pre-production test mule of the motorcycle reveals the same retro barebone structure, a round halogen headlight flanked by bulb pilot lights above, conventional indicators, a curvy fuel tank, a round taillight, and a single-piece saddle. While the styling will remain similar, Royal Enfield may revise the colour palette and graphics on the new model to distinguish it from the older version.

Engine

The details about the mechanical specifications are scarce, although we would not be surprised to see the same J-series motor from the new Classic 350 and Meteor 350 on the Bullet 350 as well. The single-cylinder, air-cooled engine makes 20.2bhp and 27Nm on the Classic 350 and we expect to see similar output figures on the next-generation Bullet 350 too.

Features

The feature list, similar to the older version, will be basic. Thus, the next-generation Bullet 350 will retain a halogen headlight and conventional bulb blinkers. The instrument cluster may benefit from a semi-digital display while the higher variants may get the Tripper Navigation tech. The safety net will most likely retain the single-channel ABS.

Hardware

Similar to the design, the hardware, too, will remain similar to the old model. Thus, we will see telescopic front forks and twin rear springs to handle the suspension setup. The braking setup will comprise a disc brake at the front and a drum unit at the back while the safety net, as mentioned above, will include a single-channel ABS.

Expected Price and Launch

We expect the next-generation Royal Enfield Bullet 350 in the second half of 2022. The new model may carry a price premium over the outgoing version. The existing model, for reference, is available from Rs 1.52 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) onwards.
