- Gets clear lens for the headlamp and turn-indicators
- Reflectors added to outer fork legs
- Continues to be priced the same
The Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650 are the flagship motorcycles in Royal Enfield’s product portfolio. Since their introduction last year, the motorcycles have garnered a lot of interest amongst motorcyclists in domestic and international markets. Now, it seems the Chennai-based bike maker has made a few updates to the motorcycles pertaining to better safety and visibility. The manufacturer has replaced the current headlamp lens with a clear lens which will provide better brightness and spread thereby contributing towards a better forward visibility at night. Next is the addition of amber coloured reflectors on the outer fork legs to improve the perceptibility of the motorcycle especially when seen from the side.
It has been confirmed by authorized Royal Enfield dealerships that they have started receiving the updated versions of the motorcycles. However, the manufacturer hasn’t released any official communication regarding the same. The new updates although minor, now coincide with the international-spec models that featured reflectors right from the time they were introduced in the European and US markets.
The upgrades come at no additional cost as the bikes continue to be priced at Rs 2.56 lakh for the Interceptor 650 and Rs 2.71 lakhs for the Continental GT 650 (Both ex-showroom, New Delhi).
