The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650 will get alloy wheels in India soon. While the alloy wheels will be available as an option during the purchase, RE will also include them in its accessory portfolio for the existing customers. The price of these alloys is likely to be around Rs 10,000-15,000.
Besides giving the motorcycle a modern aesthetic touch, the alloy wheels will also allow the customers to have a proper tubeless tyre setup. Currently, the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 do get tubeless tyres but with a tube inside due to the presence of spoke wheels. The alloy wheels will help the 650 customers in having stress-free long rides since tubeless tyres are easy to fix in case of punctures.
Royal Enfield will soon expand its 650cc portfolio by launching a cruiser with the same engine as in the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650. Typical of a cruiser, it will get smaller wheels, a longer wheelbase and a low-slung profile. It will also be more modern than the existing 650s with the presence of LED lighting and a Tripper navigation system.
