- Bullet 350 standard has seen a price hike of around Rs 12,000
- Bullet 350 ES and Bullet 500 prices are marginally increased
- These bikes may get ABS soon
Royal Enfield has updated its Bullet range of motorcycles with the inclusion of rear disc brake. This includes the Bullet 350 standard, Bullet 350 ES (Electra) and the Bullet 500 which are now priced at Rs 1.28 lakhs, Rs 1.32 lakhs and Rs 1.73 lakhs, respectively (all prices are ex-showroom).
The Bullet 500 and 350 ES already had the front disc brake and the addition of rear disc resulted in just a minor price hike. In the case of Bullet 350, though, the price increase is around Rs 12,000 since it had drum brakes on both the ends. All the other details about the motorcycles remain unchanged.
The Bullet 350 and the 350 ES are powered by a 346cc, air-cooled engine that produces 19.8bhp of power and 28Nm of torque with a five-speed gearbox. Meanwhile, the Bullet 500 houses a 499cc, air-cooled motor that generates 26.1bhp of power and 40.9Nm of torque. This is also mated to a five-speed gearbox.
Suspension duties on the Bullet range are handled by telescopic forks on the front and twin gas-charged shock absorbers at the rear. A 280mm front and a 153mm rear disc handle the braking task. Royal Enfield is actively updating its bikes with ABS and we can expect even the Bullet range to get this feature shortly.
