Royal Enfield has introduced a new squadron blue paint scheme for the Classic 500. This new version for the Classic 500 is now available for booking across all the dealerships in India.
The company claims that this new colour has been inspired by the Indian Air Force. By introducing this paint scheme, Royal Enfield is paying a tribute for its long standing history with the IAF pilots. Royal Enfield has priced the Classic 500 with this paint scheme at an on-road price of Rs 1,93,372 in Mumbai, Rs 1,89,350 in Chennai, Rs 1,98,649 in Bengaluru and Rs 1,96,700 in Kolkata
“The Classic 500 Squadron Blue is a tribute to Royal Enfield’s war time presence and association with the armed forces. We wanted a variant with a genuine armed forces heritage for our customers and for this, Royal Enfield turned to the Indian Air Force for inspiration. We had to be very particular about the colour to create an authenticity and also provide the motorcycle its post war appeal. This inspiration led us to create the Classic Squadron Blue which is now available at price of Rs 186,688 on-road Delhi” said Rudratej Singh, president, Royal Enfield.
Interestingly, the company also sells the Classic 500 in the Desert Storm avatar, which is one of their highest selling models. Royal Enfield also has the military green paint scheme for the Classic range in the international market, however, it isn’t allowed to sell this model in India due to the usage of the colour by the Indian Army.
