Royal Enfield has launched a special edition variant of its most-popular motorcycle, christened as the Classic Signals. The Classic Signals pays tribute to the Indian armed forces. It is available in two matte paint schemes – blue and ochre yellow.
The paint on the tank, fenders and side panels contrast beautifully with the blacked-out engine, frame, exhaust and wheels.
Although it is not a limited edition model like the 500cc Pegasus edition, each Classic Signals gets its unique serial number stencilled onto the fuel tank.
The Classic Signals is available with its own dedicated collection of riding gear, apparel and 40 motorcycle accessories including panniers and steel engine guards.
Propelling the Classic Signals is a 346cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine, delivering 19.8bhp and 28Nm of torque.
The Classic Signals gets a 280mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear. It is the first Royal Enfield to be sold in India with an ABS system.
The Classic Signals is built around a single downtube frame with the engine as a stressed member. It rides on a 19-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel.
The suspension setup consists of 35mm telescopic front forks and dual-spring suspension setup at the rear. The preload on the latter can be adjusted in five levels.
