Royal Enfield has launched the Classic Signals in India at Rs 1,61,934 (ex-showroom, Pune).
Based on the Classic 350, the Classic Signals edition is said to be inspired by the Indian Armed Forces and is available in two shades; brown and blue. The bike also gets a serial number stencilled on the side of the tank. Additionally it also gets a pattern with the Indian Tricolour and the number ‘49’ etched onto it along with the Indian Army Corps emblem on the right side.
The Classic Signals sports a set of canvas panniers and a tall-visor which are offered as optional accessories. However, the most important change on the bike is the inclusion of a dual-channel ABS unit, a first on any Royal Enfield motorcycle sold in India. Apart from this, the bike remains the same mechanically. It is powered by a 346cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 19bhp and 28Nm of torque.
At Rs 1.61 lakhs, the Classic 350 demands a premium of Rs 23,000 over the standard bike. However, it justifies its pricing with the additional accessories and the ABS unit.
