- INT650 and Continental GT 650 to debut in Europe
- Limited to 120 bikes
- No changes to mechanicals
After showcasing the 120th Anniversary Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 at the 2021 EICMA and launching them in India a month later, Royal Enfield is finally offering the limited-edition models in Europe.
And just like in India, the motorcycles will be sold through a first-come-first-serve flash sale on 7 March. That said, only 60 bikes of each model (120 in total) will be available. Well, if you are wondering what makes these 120th Anniversary models so special? To begin with, these motorcycles are finished in ‘Black Chrome’ which was a process Royal Enfield developed in the 1950s. Moreover, the special-editions also sport completely blacked-out engines and exhausts; a first for the manufacturer. That said, Royal Enfield has also kitted out the 120th Anniversary models with fly screens, engine guards, heel guards and bar end mirrors that are otherwise offered as optional accessories.
The cherry on top is the brass tank badge that is handmade and features the unique serial number of each bike. And for finishing touches, the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 get contrasting, gold finish touches and the 120th Anniversary logos, of course. However, the 649cc parallel-twin engines, suspension and braking hardware as well as the features remain the same as the standard versions.
