Powering the Interceptor 650 is the same, 648cc, parallel-twin, air-cooled engine with a fuel-injection system. However, this motor has been revised for BS6 compliance which has altered the power figures marginally. It now puts out 46.8bhp at 7150rpm. In comparison, the BS4 model produced 47bhp at 7250rpm. Nevertheless, its peak torque of 52Nm continues to come in at 5250rpm.
Besides a slightly revised engine, the BS6-compliant Interceptor 650 remains the same. Bookings for the Interceptor 650 had already commenced a few weeks ago and the motorcycle has also started reaching dealerships across the country.
