- Royal Enfield 650cc twin get more expensive
- Interceptor 650 is now dearer by up to Rs 6,485
- Continental GT 650 gets pricier by up to Rs 6,808
Royal Enfield has increased the prices of its flagship models, the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650, in India. Both bikes have received a hike ranging from Rs 6,051 to Rs 6,808 on their ex-showroom prices. The bikes have become substantially expensive over the last few months as a similar price increment was observed in April this year as well. The latest colour-wise ex-showroom (Ahmedabad) prices of the bikes are as follows.
Canyon Red, Ventura Blue, Orange Crush: Rs 2,81,518
Downtown Drag, Sunset Strip, Baker Express: Rs 2,89,806
Mark 2 Chrome: Rs 3,03,619
Royal Enfield Continental GT 650
Rocker Red, British Racing Queen: Rs 2,98,079
Ventura Storm, Dux Deluxe: Rs 3,06,368
Mr. Clean: Rs 3,20,176
The new price hike doesn’t bring along any changes in the motorcycles. The last update they had received was in March, 2021 when RE had introduced new colours for the bikes. These new shades did add a bit of flair to their styling. Although the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 have gotten substantially more expensive since they were launched, they still remain the most affordable 650cc parallel-twin bikes in India.
Royal Enfield is also utilising the same platform to develop multiple other models as well. People have already sighted a 650cc cruiser undergoing test runs on public roads. Moreover, we might see a 650cc scrambler as well in the future.
