Royal Enfield is likely to be working on a 650 scrambler motorcycle. And before official confirmation about that motorcycle is out, Royal Enfield Latvia went ahead and unveiled a special motorcycle based on the Interceptor 650. We bring to you details of the motorcycle through this image gallery.
The motorcycle is called the Interceptor MCH Scrambler and is built by Moto Classic House for Royal Enfield Latvia. And instead of making a one-off custom, 10 units of the Interceptor 650-based scrambler have been built.
The most noticeable aspect of the styling is the high-set, single-sided, twin exhaust pipes sourced from Zard. This setup is supposedly 12kg lighter than the standard Interceptor’s setup. Furthermore, Moto Classic House has also flashed the ECU for better engine performance.
The Interceptor MCH Scrambler also sports Michelin Anakee knobby tyres- 110/80 for the front and 140/80 for the rear wrapped around the stock motorcycle’s 18-inch spoke wheels. It appears to retain the suspension as well as braking hardware from the standard model.
To complete its look, the Interceptor-based scrambler features a headlamp mesh guard, engine sump guard, cropped fenders, and luggage rack. Whereas for off-road convenience, the motorcycle gets a motocross-style handlebar with risers. It also sports bar end weights, fully-adjustable levers, and a small visor.
Nevertheless, the Royal Enfield Interceptor MCH Scrambler is only available in Latvia priced at a premium of EUR 2,350 over the standard model. As for India, we would have to wait for the production version of a 650cc scrambler and we are hoping it is sometime soon!
