-Test bike seen with a TFT display
-Gets dual front disc brakes
-Gets new suspension components
The upcoming Royal Enfield Interceptor 750 has been spotted testing yet again on Indian roads. The new images show few yet interesting details about the modern-retro motorcycle.
Visually, there aren’t a lot of changes. We can spot the new LED tail light cluster, new alloy wheels and round LED turn indicators. The circular LED headlight, tear drop shaped fuel tank as well as the side panels appear to be the same as on the current Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.
Speaking of the 650 moniker, we could see a bump in engine displacement to 750cc, which is why the bike is likely to be labelled the Interceptor 750. The power and torque figures are also expected to rise and we may see the parallel-twin engine produce upwards of 50bhp. Unlike the Royal Enfield Bear 650, the Interceptor 750 will have a twin exhaust setup which will be far better finished than the units you see on this test bike.
To harness all that power, Royal Enfield has introduced a new, dual front disc setup. Also, while the frame appears to be the same, Royal Enfield seems to have kitted the new Interceptor with suspension. The telescopic fork as well as the twin shock absorbers appear to be beefier and we expect Royal Enfield to tune the suspension to strike a balance between comfort and handling. This should take care of one of the bigger complaints about ride quality that plagues the current Interceptor 650.
The new Interceptor 750 is also likely to get a TFT display, similar to the one seen on the Guerrilla 450. The top variant will have Bluetooth connectivity as well as navigation.
The bike is likely to be launched in India in a few months.
