Royal Enfield’s upcoming 650cc twins, the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 have been spotted with new colours at a dealership in Sydney, Australia.
The Continental GT 650 gets a part black-part grey tank with a yellow stripe running vertically in between. On the other hand, the Interceptor 650 gets a white tank with the lower portion finished in red. It gets a subtle golden stripe separating the colours. Both bikes have their side panels, front fender and rims finished in black.
Apart from these paint schemes, the bikes remain the same mechanically. They are powered by a 648cc, parallel-twin, air-cooled engine that produces 47bhp and 52Nm of torque. This unit is mated to a six-speed gearbox and an assist and slipper clutch. Royal Enfield has also equipped the bikes with a dual-channel ABS unit.
While the bikes are manufactured in India, they will first be exported to global markets and will be launched in the country by the end of 2018. The bikes are expected to be priced around Rs 3.8 lakhs to Rs 4 lakhs and will have no direct competition in the Indian market.
