- Production of the hand-painted pinstripes helmet is limited to only 200 units
- Will go on sale in December with availability on apparel store for a limited sale period
- Constructed using a fibreglass shell with genuine leather beading and single stitched leather trim
Following the introduction of the road-legal factory-fitted exhaust systems for the Classic 350 model, Royal Enfield has announced the introduction of the retro-styled hand-painted pinstriped helmets. The production run of the new helmet is limited to only 200 units wherein each of the 200 helmets will come with its production batch number hand-painted on it.
The importance of the hand-painted pinstriped design dates back to a century-old tradition followed by Royal Enfield where the Kumar brothers have been responsible for getting one thing perfect, day in and out – the Madras stripes. The brothers are the second generation of Pinstripers at the factory who have been doing it for 24 years now and previously by their uncle for 53 years.
According to Royal Enfield, the Madras Stripes symbolizes the simplicity, authenticity and craftsmanship that have been involved in the Bullet motorcycles that Royal Enfield has been manufacturing. Owing to the rich history, the new limited edition pinstriped helmet is the closest one can get to own a part of Royal Enfield’s history. The helmets will be showcased at the upcoming 2019 Rider Mania event in Goa followed by its official sale in December. The helmet can be purchased through Royal Enfield’s Apparel store by signing up to gain access to a limited sale period.
Available in both half and full-face versions; the pinstriped helmets are constructed using fibreglass for superior strength and safety. Meanwhile, the inners feature genuine leather beading with single stitched leather trim on the periphery of the shell. There is a high-density EPS liner to provide cushioning and allow air ventilation for better comfort regardless of the weather.
