- Went on flash sale on 6 December, 2021
Royal Enfield has commenced deliveries of the 120th year Anniversary limited-edition models of the Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650 in India. These bikes were unveiled at the 2021 EICMA show in Milan.
As the name suggests, these limited-edition Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 models commemorate the completion of Royal Enfield’s 120 years of existence. The company had produced 480 units of the bikes in total, with 120 units allotted to India, Europe, America, and South-East Asia each. In India, they went on a flash sale on 6 December last year and were sold on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Making them look special are multiple cosmetic add-ons. They feature a stunning combination of an all-black theme with golden highlights on different components. There’s a brass tank badge, golden pin stripes and a 120 Anniversary logo on the fuel tank which sports Royal Enfield’s ‘Black Chrome’ finishing. Furthermore, Royal Enfield has equipped these bikes with accessories like a fly screen, an engine guard, heel guards and bar end mirrors, which are optional on standard models.
The engine and cycle parts of these limited-edition models are the same as standard bikes. Powering the Interceptor and Continental GT is a 648cc, parallel-twin, air/oil-cooled engine that churns out 47bhp of power and 52Nm of peak torque. They ride on 18-inch spoke wheels with telescopic forks and dual springs along with a single disc brake at both ends.
