Recently, there have been a slew of spy shots of the 200cc Apache. The most recent and revealing set of spy shots were taken in Tamil Nadu. The pictures present the motorcycle in an almost production-ready state. The crucial countdown begins for the Apache enthusiasts as the 200 could be launched by TVS on 20 January.
The Apache 200 test mules have been spotted off and on with clip-on handlebars. It is still unsure whether TVS will equip the motorcycle with a single piece unit or the clip-ons. Besides that, there is almost a complete understanding of what the motorcycle is featured with. Along with the design philosophy being largely inspired by the Draken X-21 concept. The Apache 200 will host a completely new digital instrument cluster with an rpm gauge reading up to 12,000rpm. Furthermore, it will also feature a gear-position indicator. The instrument cluster will also display a cheeky ‘Race On’ message similar to the ‘Ready to Race’ on the KTM motorcycles it will rival.
TVS is taking all measures to price the Apache 200 competitively. TVS is also equipping the model with TVS tyres, unlike the expensive Pirelli tyres for the export market. The Apache 200 will cross handlebars with the KTM Duke 200 and the Bajaj RS200.
