Vardenchi, the custom motorcycle maker from Mumbai is in talks with the Italian brand Moto Morini to get their range of motorcycles to India. In return, Moto Morini will import and sell Vardenchi motorcycles in European markets.
Vardenchi has been making custom motorcycles since many years. They currently use Royal Enfield engines in most of their motorcycles but are in the process of hunting for alternate sources. With alliance with Moto Morini, the company might source the V-Twin engines from the Italian marque.
Moto Morini currently sells the Corsaro 1200 Veloce, Grandpasso 1200 and the Scrambler 1200 in many parts of Europe. We can expect few of these motorcycles to be sold in select cities here through the completely-built-up (CBU) route. However, it’s still not clear how Vardenchi will sell these motorcycles here as they themselves don’t have a dedicated showroom in place.
